Fairly awful. Barbet is reverting to the Barbet if old. Not sure why Austin was left in so long.

Not sure why Uncs winner is disallowed when it comes off a defender either.

Tactically we currently look all over the place but the players in game tactics are naive at best and incompetent at worst. When we move the ball with tempo, movement and run at defenders we pook good but we dont do it enough and for the last 10 mins we let them dictate the game.

So frustrating.

Sexy Asian dwarves wanted.

Wasnt one of those calling for Amos, bit like Dykes too many false dawns. Thought Hendrick did ok, moved the ball quicker than most team mates.

Hendrick was arguably our best player

I just find it hard to get too upset with this team.

What we are doing is the equivalent of Brighton sitting 3rd in the Prem.

The money spent and wages paid mean we have absolutely no right to be where we are, but look at us. Sitting in 4th with 2 geriatric wingbacks, a collection of green midfielders guided by a elder statesman deemed not good enough for Fulham and WBA plus an absolute motley crew of strikers (a chubby club legend, a scotstralian and a bloke married to a pop star).

On paper the only ones good enough for the play offs are the two number 10's and the keeper.

I'm absolutely loving this season. Love watching us play. Love Albert (even when he is awful). Love watching Chair and Willock combine. Love seeing Austin go round the block one last time. Love watching Field, Amos, Dozell develop. Love when our centre backs go on a mazy dribble. Love our Irish nutcase at the back.

We all know that this squad isn't good enough to go up, it's barely good enough for the top half but we are sitting in 4th and competing and making the fans proud.

A kid with a brain tumor came on the pitch at half time and shouter YOU R'S!! down the microphone. Our strikers wives are intrinsically involved in raising money for her treatment.
This is the QPR I want, this is the QPR I love.
I don't need us to go up, I don't need us to make the Play Offs, I don't need us to beat Blackpool on Wednesday. I'm more than satisfied with what we've got and achieved. Anything now is a bonus this season.

Very good post 1JD

I get we are not a forest, West Brom or Fulham and money bags Bournemouth and they should all be running away with it on paper
But nor are Huddersfield , Lurton or Blackburn , they don’t have a pot to p1ss in
Football is not only won on a balance sheet but on the pitch and we do have the players
Let’s not forget barbet , SJ, Hendricks, uncle , Austin , Gray are experienced pros at this level and teams like Huddersfield or Luton would love them in their squads

I’m not buying this plucky young QPR side and we should all happy clap them even if they are playing poorly , these last few weeks have been turgid to watch , and we have played some really , really poor teams in the last few games and got turned over or couldn’t break down

Over the last three years we have had

SJ
Austin
Eze
Chair
Willock
Hendricks
Hugill
BOS
Wells
Field
Gray
Manning

That’s some talent at this level , if the plan is to develop players and sell on year on year whilst being top 8 or 10 then Warburton is Taylor made for the club, if your looking at a promotion then I’m not so sure he is the man and I’ve said that from the off
Either way I’m happy to be proved wrong but I can’t see us in the play offs at the end of the season

Spot on paul. We should've got Pearson in when we could as you suggested last year. Brizzle are running away with this league and that could've been us!
Fewming.

Seriously though, I don't think the post you're answering ever said we should 'happy clap' poor performances. And in fact the abuse the club and players have taken from some quarters for an admittedly poor run is by any stretch of the imagination miles over the top. Can there not be a happy medium? I note we were booed off at half time v Barnsley - when it was 0-0. If anything sums up the nastiness of some modern fans is that sort of thing. I'm old enough to remember that no one was booed off unless it was a really heavy defeat. Now not even winning at half time seems to be a cardinal sin among some fans.

But you're agreeing with him to an extent there, citing three clubs doing well with budgets comparable to our own, two of whom we are (at last for another week) doing better than.

I make you right - we may not make the play-offs, but if you were to grade our results over the last 14 months, you'd be a Scrooge to give us less than a B+, and really, given circumstances, it's an A- at worst. Is it not ok to be pleased with that? The polarisation on here between opinions reflects society at the moment and it's a real shame, because the reality is I bet a chat in the pub would find you're not half as far away from those you unfairly characterise as 'happy clappers' as you think you are because you're exaggerating their posts - just as some of us exaggerate your negativity and what appears to be naked fury on occasions. I bet in person you're actually a lovely old chap who loves his mum, right?

Bare bones.

I agree with all that Anti except for the slightly unnecessary last sentence - undermines it all a touch but I'm sure it was tongue in cheek.

There is this constant overblown battle at the minute that seems to be based on people just being more caustic than they need to be about differences that are far less extreme than their faceless quips require. Dour realists and happy clappers, woke commies and brave free thinkers, people in offices and those roaming the open plains, radical feminists and old school men's men, all very badly characterised examples I'm sure but it's never ending.

The thing to do these days is get a good row going and then PM a load of people to support your cause - easier than leaving the house admittedly.

Ironically I'm going overboard myself now but I am bored with the polarisation.

Do you actually read anything I post before responding?
Where have I criticised Warburton? Where have I condoned a few people on Twitter spouting nonsense ?
I agreed with the other bloke saying we do have a squad capable of promotion and that this isn’t some plucky young team as some like to portray
In the last 2 weeks I’ve been to Peterborough and Hull and we have been crap, are fans not allowed to voice an opinion ? heaven forbid anything said against this manager on here
I’ve hardly posted this season because it’s a pointless exercise with the majority , I’ve posted on games I’ve witnessed and yesterday was awful
I’m happy to keep Warburton and we finish in the top 10 every year whilst selling but if the club wants to go up I don’t Warburton is the right manager for that, that’s my personal opinion
Doesn’t mean I’m some Twitter troll does it

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Thought we were average at best first half, far better in the 2nd and was only a poor lino decision from winning the game

Massive overreaction from some people the last couple of weeks but to be expected as more people seem to appear when on a downturn

Were in a very good position to get in the play offs this year which is what we all hoped for at the start of the season.

its been dreadful for over 10 years so I don't get why people don't just enjoy the ride. If your not enjoying this season then your never going to be happy supporting a club like QPR

I see I've upset you with the love your mum comment, which was supposed to be said with a cheeky grin in a friendly way - and taken in good spirit. Apologies, it clearly came out wrong - but it really illustrates my point. Anything and everything is seen as antagonistic, whether it was meant to be or not. My point there was to really say I bet you are much closer in thoughts to those you characterise as 'happy clappers' than perhaps you think, but arguments get amplified on here - especially when results are not going our way.

For the record, what I wrote there was a general post, I don't think you're a troll (nor did I say you were), but I also thought it was unfair to characterise the previous poster (or anyone, really) with the pejorative 'happy clapper'. I've re-read my post and other than the final line, which was clearly misjudged, and nothing in there seems unfair. By saying you think the team is good enough to go up, but Warburton isn't, that is, however you want to dress it up, a criticism. To be clear, I never said you weren't entitled to that opinion, but for the millionth time, people are allowed to disagree with your opinion and seeing as we've been top 6 all season, the actual evidence (for a couple more weeks at least!) would be demonstrably on their side.

But I'll be totally honest. I've made a huge effort not to argue with you on here because it's not good for you or me. I think you have some really interesting views worth debating precisely because I disagree with about 90% of them. If me and you stuck to talking about Redknapp and the 2010/11 team we could probably get married. Sadly, those few places where we align are few and far between!

I'm genuinely sorry you got upset by me saying that you're probably a nice chap who loves his mum. Seriously, that ws supposed to be a friendly joke. I'm going to block you now, not because of anything you've done, but because I don't want to argue with you anymore and I don't trust myself not to and also it will lessen the toxicity everyone else on here has to put up with when we cross swords. Really hope we go up, and hope you enjoy the rest of the season.

Bare bones.

No worries Antti let’s forget it’s done move on

Personally I think Warburton has done a good job this year
For me I’m more p1ssed off with the wasted opportunities in the cup than anything in the league
I think this is the best squad we have had in a long time , I just hope we dont look back on the wasted opportunities against some of the poorer teams

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Great post. I’m coming around to the same way of thinking.
Time to ditch the criticism, frustration and overinflated expectation. Despite all their short comings, they have done themselves and the club proud.

Time to just support them for their efforts (providing the effort is there) regardless of results or where we ultimately finish in the league. They have a had a great season.

I think it's perfectly justified to criticise someone who sets up with three centre backs and two defensive midfielders at home to Hull.
