Sean Goss 10:14 - Jan 17 with 23492 viewsterryb

Am I being stupid & not seeing it, or is there not a general thread for transfer rumours?

Anyhow, I've seen that we are being linked to Sean Goss, a 19 year old at Manure & not as a loan.

I don't know if there is any possibility of this happening or anything about the player.

Can someone please enlighten me?

Am I the only niggardly prick who thinks the number 10 shirt has to be earned?

From my memory, he was a bit lightweight but had a good footballing brain and liked to keep the ball moving quickly.
I also recall him quite quickly becoming a target for the boo boys.

This. Was def lightweight but a smart footballer, and we played better with him than without him, despite his contribution being overlooked. Found space, picked it up, passed it, ran into space, repeat. He made the team tick. Wasn't going to score blinders or crunch into tackles, but his movement, his quick passing, happy to receive the ball anywhere; it made us a better team.

Ollie did play him just in front of the back 4, and he did ping the ball about, one great ball out to the left. Of course also gave the ball away in a terrible position but thankfully Ayoze had a brain fart.

That cross from Ayoze was a proper "what have i just seen" moment.

Scared of Alex Smithies.

At least with Goss, his career with us can only get better from that first touch onwards.

I'm sure it will. He looked to have a bit of class about him. Good touch and nice passing (after that first moment).

According to the commentators I'm sure I heard them say that Man United have a buy back clause or first refusal to buy him back. After his first horror moment he did look like he has a touch of class and, although it was a brief debut, I'm very hopeful about his future at the club.

Heard that too Bromley, I guess it means they get a first refusal?

Michael Keane (chelsea were sniffing around at £20m)
Danny drinkwater (Won the premiership)
Tom Heaton (england international)
Robby Brady (linked with £9m trf)

young players always a risk
but happy with a few of those ;)

And along with Drinkwater Leicester also won the Premier League with the benefit of another Man U academy trained right back who was deemed not good enough for us...a certain Danny Simpson
