In terms of losing season ticket holders, I've long argued that when people are involved in direct debits they are less likely to cancel than someone deciding not to renew in the Summer. I've lost count how many times Sky have put the prices up, yet I'm still a subscriber. If they asked for a lump sum every Summer for the next 12 months, I'd have given it up a long time ago. |  | | |

Reading between the lines of the club statement, they admit that the number of season ticket sales this year are down on last year. I'm sure this will help.
Interest also that the new CEO says that all aspects of season tickets are being addressed - better late than never. | |

This is like finding an oasis in the desert, for Dale fans.
Why has it taken Russ Green just two minutes to sort something that should've been sorted years ago? It shows just how a little bit of effort to understand what fans need will also benefit the club; massively, in the long term.
And Green states this is only the beginning, as other ways of raising ST sales are being looked at. About bloody time. I absolutely congratulate him, and the club for employing him. Better late than never, and judging from the reaction of many long-standing Dale fans over the past 3 or 4 months, the time was 10 seconds to midnight on their committment to the club.

You could always do this, but you just had to go to the insurance company themselves. It'll be interesting to see the rate Dale offer compared to other clubs using the same company or going directly though the insurance company. 19.9% for a small loan probably isn't bad, although Natwest have just lowered my savings interest rate to 0.01%. Ill hold back until we see the interest rates, hope the club haven't been let down in that regard. Its a great idea, one that should have been done years ago, slowly catching up.
Edit: anything between 12-20% apr is a good result, so if it is 19.9 thats positive news, owning the stadium has made this club starting to act more professional all of a sudden, well done Mr Green, positive steps. [Post edited 26 Aug 2016 14:35]

I seem to recall someone saying a credit card could be used to purchase gift vouchers with a credit card and exchange those for a ST but not buy a ST directly on card...I pay 0% and get other perks on my card so would prefer to us that to shell out £300 than get a loan at 19%. |  |

You might have been the poster who mentioned it. Seems a faf to make two transactions with RAFC when one would suffice. They're clearly OK accepting a credit card purchase of c£300 just don't publish that fact...

I've bought my season ticket by credit card online for the last 2 years. Bought on a card I use infrequently, transfered to a another card I have on 0% interest balance transfer so only pay transfer fee and then pay off over 12 months. |  | | |
