The QPR comedy XI 19:10 - Aug 18 with 8392 viewskensalriser

Inspired by Polter.
Criteria: On pitch comedy value, good or bad. Definite facepalm moments. Not just shite, that isn't funny. I'll start with...

Stuart Wardley
Samba Diakite
Seb Polter

Must be Steve Morrow and Karl Ready in defence with Mathew Rose as back up.

Rose can't be considered for selection. He's injured.

I always thought Matteo Alberti was quite funny. His nickname should have been 'Noseferatu'.

Lots of invisible men on this thread. Anyone remember Fernando de Ornelas? Came on as a sub once I think, ran about, did nothing.

Shipped out a few weeks later.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Yes, I remember Bobby Keetch. I thought he was a decent player and a bit of a character as well.

I heard he was a bit of a playboy. Can anyone shed any lumière on this?

QPR v Stoke 1977 (?) . Stanley having a chat with Alan Hudson on the half way line as the match went on behind them.

Strong and stable my arse.

I think I can remember either reading or hearing that dear old Bobby would turn up for home games at Loftus Rd in jazzy sports cars and wearing Edwardian high collar, long tailed suits and waistcoats and also had interests in the Art and fine Antiques worlds and liked fine wines.

Doesn't anyone else remember Bobby Keetch?

Certainly do.

So do all the centre forwards that he left laying on the ground in agony!

Harris, Hunter, Storey etc. were not in the same league as our Bobby!

Sorry Punter,

I never saw anything comical in his performances!

Good shout, Terry Mancini.

As the threads 'shite's not funny' I'm torn over Brian Williams. Should he or shouldn't he?

Sorry Steve,

I don't think my tears when watching him were due to laughter!

If you can remember the short lived "Football Football" (in Piccadilly?) venue in the mid to late '90's, Bobby Keetch was a partner in the venture.

I believe he was still co- owner when he sadly died. I think TV was a regular visitor to this establishment.

Derek Richardson in goal

Took over from Phil Parkes
Just reflect on that for a moment

Marc Nygaard gets a shout - ran the whole length of the pitch with his shirt off to shout at the ref and get sent off

Devon White is certainly worth the mentions he has already had on here. Surprisingly effective at times for such an awkward lump.

The word effective cannot be used for Dominic Iorfa. I remember at Spurs away once he used his one asset, searing pace, to race clear of their defence. So clear in fact that he had time to mis-kick the ball twice while attempting to shoot before connecting on the 3rd try and sending the ball into orbit. Eveyrone was laughing, although the joke was on us.

I was at that game and was in the Spurs end , I can still see in my head Iorfa blasting that ball over from 4 yards out, the funny thing is I jumped up in the air expecting the goal and when he missed I did the head in the hands thing to a lot of funny looks from all of the Spurs fans gathered around me

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore
