What events have been held there apart from football? I can think of a friendly cricket game, rugby, boxing and a concert by Yes. Was hockey also played on the old omniturf?

My first ever visit to Loftus Rd was for its a knockout, around 1979 I think

Haven't we witnessed it's a knockout at every home cup game since 1979 as well?

In the Rutles film, when the Rutles were filmed walking out at Che (Shea) stadium, that was also Loftus Road.

does anyone remember the episode of tucker when they are standing on the loft
Then tuckers name is flashed on the scoreboard
Also an episode of minder in 92 when Ray Daley is talking to a mate of Arthur's in the ER
Boys from the bush if anyone remembers that
And who could forget the debacle of Wasps sharing our hallowed turf

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Now I can't recollect who topped the bill, but in my eighties altered state, I do remember Pepsi and Shirley being a support act and being particularly crap.

Beyond that there was The Jam "No Nukes" concert that never took place. Hammersmith and Fulham deciding to not give the required licences.

Oh yeah... the programme was called Tuckers Luck and it was a spin off from Grange Hill... I think he was looking for his brother who supported QPR or something like that???
