If, as we all suspect he is our new manager, let's as supporters get behind him for what I think will be a very interesting last 15 games of the season.

Come on you R's

I want Karl Robinson, forward thinking, attack minded coach who actually COACHES his players on the training ground with methods unlike Redknapp ever did. He has nurtured through talent like Brendan Galloway, George Williams and Dele Alli who has just signed for Spurs. I think we should turn to youth in the long-term, I've had enough of us going for old has-beens, our youth system is toss, we don't even have "academy" status. Hence why that kiddy swapped us for Brentford, it shouldn't be like that, Redknapp didn't even watch our kids, Robinson would be more involved in that department and thats what I think we should be perusing more actively, youth. I remember watching the dons back in August when the stuffed Man United 4-0 and I was so impressed in the way once they took the lead they just kept going for it, they had united on the ropes, all the players playing for each other, was really impressed with them. Robinson rejected Brighton earlier this season but surely we would be too big to turn down realistically? I would take someone like Eddie Howe aswell, although he probably wouldn't want to swap his rampant Bournemouth with our mess.

I've had enough of these "proven" "big name" managers, look what Hughes and Redknapp have done for us.

If he comes in first thing he should do is put 2 kids on the bench at the weekend, that will quickly get fans onside

First things he should do are release Rio, get Zarate in behind Austin and Petrasso on the left wing.

He'll be an instant legend.

To be fair to Sherwood he is hardly a big name manager. He did his apprenticeship as a coach at Spurs and is young and hungry.

Amen to that Owza

My daughter gets free tickets to the Dons through her football club and having been to a few games he is exactly who we should be after
there is a touch of the Dave sextons about him, he follows Dutch & German clubs on his days offs and has a good knowledge of young players, the one touch football the Dons have been playing has been good stuff
if we are serious about sorting this club out and building for the future , he is our man

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

MH was far worse,at least we had a promotion and win at Wembley under Redknap.
Better signings also, he's mentally shot and his heart weren't in it anymore.
He's getting on a bit and Probably should have retired on the Wembley high.
I will now support Sherwood if it's him who gets the job right up till we're fcuked or safe.

HR is definitely worse for me.

Mostly because he never cared one iota and it used to infuriate me beyond belief. I don't even think during the promotion he cared.

Let's not forget Hughes kept us up the first year but aside from that, year 2 cannot be forgiven and he brought some real parasites. Despite all of that, I belive he cared and was gutted when we lost.

I don't believe HR ever did and for me, that's why he's worse

Agreed, but sadly I think Uncle Tony will go for the easier short-term option instead.

Well said.

At least we have a fighting chance and it would appear to have been thought through with Les and Ramsey already here.

Whatever happens, Nothing can ever be as bad as Redknapp. Nothing.

To have a manager who has shown so little empathy, passion or effort has been gut wrenching.

We may now get some pride back at the very least. That's all I've ever wanted.

"Nothing can be as bad as....."

Pretty sure we said that about Mark Hughes!

Karl Robbo for me too (have been saying this for 2 or 3 years) but only if we're in the Championship next season. If by some miracle we stay up this season I'd look at Laudrup or Sherwood if he's kept us up.

Sherwood is hardly big name. One half of a season at Spurs, before that no one barely knew who he was. He is young, didn't do too badly at Spurs, got the best out of a player with a bad attitude, played youngsters, and wants to prove himself. When you look at that its what we want

Have a look at his Indy columns . Seems he has settled down after being a bit manic at Spurs .

I am hoping thiz move has been planned for a while . I am right behind him and looking forward to every player getting a chance including some young players .

There are certainly worse than Sherwood out there, however I would love to see sir les at the helm, the youth policy would certainly become better for a start and he has blue in his blood he will always want the best for the club and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does on Saturday

I Just hope TF doesn't dive into this like he has the last 2 previous managers
i would like us to put the feelers out to Karl Robinson and see if he would come in either now or at the end of the season
its not about now its about the summer IMHO, we have half the big earners out of contract, 4 players who are on loans and then its whoever we sell
its a big rebuilding job needed whatever the division we are in ,
this next manager has a hell of a job on , we have to get this right and plan for the next 5 years

First sentence is spot on. Sherwood may be the right choice but I'd like to think the next.manager doesn't come from a shortlist of 1.

From what he showed at Tottenham Sherwood knows fck all about tactics and is too arrogant to learn. Saying that though any under-11s coach should be qualified enough to sort us out with more shape than HR has, and anyway there isn't the time, even Pep Guardiola coudn't overhaul us overnight. You'd think anyone coming in with a bit of positivity and life would have an effect after this.

Sherwood does have credibility as far as youth coaching goes, and he has said the right things in the media about players in the lower leagues. We're certainly at heart a different club (with a different possibly more receptive squad) than what he had with Spurs.

It could work. Smart modern flexible teams will still mug us off terribly but basic competence is enough for midtable in the league, more than enough to keep us up. Difficult to overstate how abysmal Hull and Villa are for instance - they're just not dysfunctional the way we have been.
