And what do you think Max Ehmer learnt, or what benefit did he gain, from three months at Carlisle this season? After spending a season and a half at Yeovil, two separate spells with Stevenage, one with Preston, all at that level, what did he gain from another three months in League One with Carlisle while we signed first Oguchi Onyewo and then Aaron Hughes instead of him?

Honestly the only thing more annoying than people being negative for the sake of it, is people desperately trying to find the fcking positives in everything our club does just because it's our club. We are currently picking Will Keane and Mobido cnting Maiga up front, and paying thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds a week to do it, while we have kids of our own we could be picking. And come August what will we have? Keane and Maiga back with their clubs, and a load of strikers we own with no Championship experience. The lack of forward planning is an abject embarrassment.

Watch that third goal of Hitchcock's yesterday and support the financial outlay and continued persistence with Maiga, who looks like he won his place in this team in a fcking raffle. Maiga won't score a goal like that as long as he's got a hole in his ars.

Ah, but you see, Redknapp is neither a manager nor a coach, he is our "Chief Buyer". Got a problem? Buy someone.

That said, it doesn't have to be either youth or experience, it can be a combination of both. Doyle was a good move, he has the ability and the nous and looked hungry plus he scored some goals. Ravel M has been great too but Hitchcock would've been a far better bet than Maiga (known to be poor) and Keane (no experience at senior level and why should QPR provide work experience to other clubs' untried players?)

I'm not a fan of 'Arry's but I have to give him credit for getting us Ravel and also Doyle.

Just saw the goals on the Offish. Three cool finishes. I know all lobs are exquisite but third goal was, well, exquisite.

If Wayne Rooney or someone had scored that 3rd goal all and sundry would be w4nking over it ''til the cows come home. Absolute class. Hopefully TF will watch it one day.

The touch and finish for the winning goal was sublime. Difficult to understand why Maiga and Keane were brought in on loan instead.

Difficult to see why he never starts at Rotherham.

their strikers already score goals. You don't want to change a winning side

They've got quite a few strikers and are doing well this season, he's done well to get in the side

As others have said, Hitchcock's third was just a bit special!

But the most remarkable thing about that clip is the size of Gillingham's first goalscorer! He makes Brett Angel look positively lean...who is he?!

I think your wrong on this Clive, Hitchcock has clearly progressed and benefited from his loan spells this year. If HR does not include him in squad then fair enough we can have a proper pop, but this year it was right for him and the club to go out on loan.

Ehmer is a different kettle of fish, he was sent out on loan did really well but has not stepped up since then. We were in the Prem so Warnock et el were not going to bring him through. He should have been at a lower champ club this or even last year but that has not happened, have to ask yourself why no one at that level willing to take him.

As I said in another thread Hitchcock is too small to lead the line on his own (I can see your match reports now about the two little Toms) so who do you play. Granted Maiga and Keane have been terrible (they could be world beaters at League one level - Maiga was a 20 goal a year striker in french football)

You say lack of forward planning, who would have known that this season the Goalkeeping coaches son would have shined, he was not even considered the 2nd or 3rd best striker in the youth team last season
