What an absolute shambles Wilcox's strategy of paying millions for City's failed youngster was. If Chelsea weren't mad enough to chuck us cash for the always injured Lavia it would have put the club into admin.

Does moving to a PL CL club and not playing much also so a lack of ambition to play?

That didn't seem to harm Kalvin Phillips much. He had years of not playing for City but still got his international call-ups.

Not one player we've signed to a permie deal will be demanding a move if/when we go down.

That's a good indication of the level of players we've signed.

Promotion money has been mostly taken by paying the bills of W ankerson's £160m spending spree to get us relegated.

Nick in surprise at PL player behaving like a PL player shocker.

I take it you don't like him then!

It was more how he was a player signed for Chelsea who played well for them in the games he was given last season and is rated by them so highly they didn't give us any option to sign.

That gave me more of a hope that he was a PL level player than the over the hill or lower league players we have signed this Summer for next season in the Champ.

We actually only signed two players of permanent deals last Summer. Him and Stewart. Neither really contributed much at all to our promotion push.

The strategy of signing Academy players from the big boys seems flawed.

Archer is a winger as is BBD really. Armstrong is 5 foot 8.
