It's promising that he said in the interview that he didn't even show half of what he's capable of last season. He said he was a little hesitant at first playing after his injury which is understandable. There's some great upside to this signing at a fairly low cost
I don't think this would've been seen much outside of the states, but it's a must see moment. This is the university I went to (Michigan State, in white) winning in a last second miracle against our biggest rivals. With just 10 seconds left, all Michigan had to do was successfully get the punt away, which if you've seen American football, is pretty much a given and not difficult to do at all. We'll probably never see something like this again
I think that because they now want to avoid the "double punishment" of a red card plus a penalty, you don't see those given as straight reds very often. But to me, that's absolutely a red. No attempt to play the ball at all, and it was intentionally stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity.
Maybe a strange complaint, but I've never understood the purpose of wearing the next seasons' kits for the last few weeks of a season. If you're going to win a trophy in the 19/20 season, surely you should be wearing your 19/20 kits
I could see us going after Amos permanently. If nothing else, MW has said very positive things about him recently, even singling him out as deserving of some credit in some of the awful post-lockdown performances. I know he gets some criticism on here but I think he's been better the past couple of matches
I should have rephrased that: SOME of their players are likable, which is more than can be said for the other clubs that are generally in title contention. The way Van Dijk forced his way out of Southampton was completely disrespectful, it's been a few years and I had forgotten about how messy that transfer saga was. Probably in part because of the media's obsession with him over the past few seasons
That's true. That's probably the better option long-term financially and for the quality of the squad. Cheap loans can be good but not if they take away minutes to develop a player of our own
It's not at all a realistic way to evaluate a player, but what I know about him is that he becomes absolutely world class in every FM save, so why not bring him in. Problem is that every club in the Championship will be in for him too.
I don't know about that, Swansea players were going down a little too easily for me. But had the last one been given, losing on a penalty in stoppage time would've been really tough to take
