Thanks for that link. For those who can't be arsed to follow the link, this is the important bit which should tell you everything you need to know if you let it sink in:- "Why masks work: People are exposed to 10,000 TIMES more cough droplets from a mask-less patient 2 metres away than from someone wearing a mask standing just 1/2 a metre away" |

Who on earth would want to discredit renewables? Oh yes, silly me, of course, those who are already wealthy beyond sanity but still want to make more millions derived either directly or indirectly from the global use of fossil fuels. |

True, someone on here described Garrick and someone who is really fast but has never seen a football before. A bit harsh but pretty close to what you said. |

I think Joan Baez would have been better than George Byers |

Unfinished business on threads that don't yet exist on the new forum. |

A lot of those photos have disappeared from that particular thread anyway, Lifey, because some of the old image hosting sites have disappeared over the years, for example tinypic which I used to use. |

I watched quite a bit of it but then stopped. Thought is was all a bit flat tbh. Big open air shows with huge, wide stages might be ok when you're in the crowd but personally, I don't think they ever make good television compared with shows in smaller, more intimate venues or big venues with smaller stages when the performers don't look like they are socially distancing. From what I saw, apart from sharing vocals with Gail Anne Dorsey, I don't think Bowie got within 2 metres of anyone else. They always said he was ahead of his time but socially distancing 20 years before everyone else is quite exceptional! Just my personal take on it, was expecting much more. |
| Forum Reply | That's one of the biggest chokes I've seen from us in recent years at 15:57 27 Jun 2020
They probably came for a point but after just a couple of minutes it became obvious we simply weren't up for it and they found themselves unexpectedly on the front foot. Once we'd woken up, we had something like 70% possession for the last 75 minutes but were absolutely shocking with it. If they concede that sort of possession to anyone else in this division, they will lose 9 times out of 10. |

I didn't think I'd have a football watching experience as bad as the home 0-0 draw with QPR a few months ago. The only way today was an improvement was that I'd driven 104 miles each way in the pissing rain on a Tuesday night to watch that QPR game which was the worst football watching experience I've had for well over a decade. At least today I was at home, warm, dry and comfy even if the match itself was just as bad. I'd have been well pissed off if I'd driven 104 miles today. |
