More interestingly John Eustace seems to be turning Derby around. He has such a good record in that league. We really should go for him next season to go up, then see how Rohl gets on and maybe bring him in the season after in the PL. |

I used to see Dan Druff on the travel club bus in the 80's. At least that is what we nicknamed him as his head was just a bed of white flakes. I wonder if anyone else remembers him. He was a nice bloke and used to sit with a really trampish looking older guy we nicknamed BO for his Body odour. |
 | Forum Reply | Maybe Danny Rohl is coming at 14:53 4 Mar 2025
When Eustace was sacked at Birmingham, they were in a play off spot and went down after, he also had Blackburn in playoff spot. Both clubs not very well in terms of finance. I think his record at Championship level is better than Rohl. I think we only like the links to him as people think he had a big hand in the good times under Ralph. But is that truly his doing or just a good combo? |

Obviously I have no idea what it is like inside etc., but from the outside views I have seen it looks very drab when compared to the Emirates and Spurs new ground. Just a bit square and without features that make you go WOW. |

Sorry but I still do not see this Rohl love in. He has done no better than someone like Eustace and I am pretty sure everyone on here would be very disappointed if we hired Eustace. In fact I would say he did better during his stints with Brum and Blackburn. |

There you have it. You are the one acting like a petulant 3 year old. Try good old fashioned polite debate. It is easy and we all learn much more from it. |
 | Forum Reply | Next season's team at 09:38 4 Mar 2025
It's not a bad team. People forget the gap between PL and Champ now is huge, so as bad as it might look it is defo a top ten side in that league. However, i would like to see something more like this: GK - NEW and improved LB - Manning CB - Edwards CB - Wood RB - NEW and improved LM - Fraser CM - Downes CM - Charles RM - New and Improved CF - Armstrong CF - Archer I think we need some fresh faces in. |
 | Forum Reply | To lose 5-4 on penalties at 09:33 4 Mar 2025
Over the years I have noticed Saints are not a very lucky side when it comes to cup competitions. We always get a big club in finals, where as Man City got Watford and Pompey got bloody Cardiff. Also, we seem to always go out of the competition when the big clubs do. If this could have been 5 or 6 years back and we were left in, we would have a chance. Weird, but when we are good we don't get that luck. These things only happen when we are crap and cannot take advantage of it. |

Who is arguing as a three year old, him or you? Think about it. You are the one calling names and berating him for holding a different view, as a 3 year old would indeed do. |

I find threads like this a bit distressing. I mean, is this what has become of us? Has the age of debate come and gone to the degree now that name calling lords it over sensible debate and acceptance of differing opinion? Very sad to see. |
 | Forum Reply | Premier League Table After VAR Re adjusments at 13:37 24 Feb 2025
What the table doesn't show of course, is the timing of those errors. In our case I suspect the extra 3 points could be attributed to the Leicester game. If so, a win that day could have had a knock on effect, gaining us more points after. I doubt we would be out of the bottom three but it could have made a heck of a difference to the end of season tally. |

Wages perhaps? |
 | Forum Reply | Ross Stewart at 07:51 24 Feb 2025
No, not at all. If RS has any chance to ever get back into the game, he clearly needs a slower build up period than most injured players and thus there is no point bringing him to a dead season, when he could be building up alot slower. Makes perfect sense to me, assuming he will ever be able to play again which we cannot know for sure. |
 | Forum Reply | Hate to say this at 07:40 24 Feb 2025
Yep people on here have called the manager an idiot for leaving him out. The fact is right now, no one wants to be playing and none of them care. I would drop 90% of them and play the U21's. |
 | Forum Reply | Ross Stewart at 06:04 23 Feb 2025
No point at all in risking Ross Stewart for the remainder of this season. Why risk someones career and well being on a lost cause. Better to break him in ultra slowly and at his bodies recovery speed in the U21's and then during a mid season period. If he can make a full recovery, he may be a huge asset next season. But don't bring him in to meaningless PL games now. |
