Charged under Trade Union legislation apparently. |
| Forum Reply | How much does OO owe VB? at 13:21 3 Jan 2019
What I can't get my head around is how the courts have taken such a lenient view on the period allowed to repay. At the time, I thought there was mention of 21 days to pay. Certainly, £10 million was paid under sufferance in face of the initial deadline. Why no such pressure on the subsequent amounts? I've used it before, but the analogy with paying a speeding fine holds good. You're given 28 days to pay and if you don't the full force of the law comes down, including custodial sentences. How on earth can you still owe £27 million pounds 14 months in and still no pressure is being brought to bear? |
| Forum Reply | Oyston FC have issued yet another "club statement"........ at 20:50 27 May 2015
What I find interesting is that the Oystons were thinking about the bid at all. I've always presumed that any bid would be dismissed out of hand. This statement makes it clear that the potential sale is something they might consider. For me, that's progress. I also find it strange that the Knights wouldn't even look at the official site. Know your enemy is the phrase that springs to mind. While you might not consider it of any value, there's a need to understand what they're saying so you can react appropriately. |

Nice considered piece. As I said on the TAM thread, this opportunity needs to be taken so that constructive criticism can be made and a case made on why it might be better for them to sell up, for their own and the club's sake. I've no doubt that they think they can ride out this storm, but they need telling just how deep seated the divide is and that it's all gone too far to pull it back. |

It appears that Pilley didn't put any clause in the contract, so that's not the case. If he's the answer to England's woes, then God help us. |

My personal view as always is that if an opportunity to challenge the current strategy within the club comes along, the fans should take it. As such, I intend to apply for a place on this Forum. He needs telling just how disastrous his policies have been, and if there is a constructive opportunity to do it, then we should take it. |
| Forum Reply | Sympathies to Wigan Athletic at 18:08 20 May 2015
I always thought that Perkins was a real terrier at winning the ball but then constantly gave it away with dithering on the ball. Maybe that was because of the lack of options open to him, and maybe that will be different at Wigan, but part of me thinks he just can't distribute the ball well. |
| Forum Reply | Is a training ground now going to make a difference? at 18:47 17 May 2015
Better facilities have been promised since Matthews' day so I won't hold my breath. It's a positive step if it happens but too late to be seen as an Oystons PR move, especially as there's been nothing on the official site. |

I'm obviously going for Swindon to replace my Sheff U prediction and Wycombe probably deserve it for their season's efforts. |
| Forum Reply | Anyone go to the BST night? at 18:21 17 May 2015
I thought it was a great night, with us fans finally having something to smile about after a disastrous season. The team from 2010 were obviously a close knit bunch, and still are. The bottom line was that the night was to raise money towards a specialised chair for Parky. The raffle and auction raised £4,515 towards the £10,000 needed. A magnificent gesture from the players to donate the remaining £5,500 was the highlight of the evening for me. For what it's worth, I thought the food was good given that they were trying to serve 380 people at the same time All in all, it brought back some fantastic memories, I caught up with plenty of mates, and met a fair few new usernames, finally putting a face to a name. Sat next to Davepick and shared a table with Budgies Budgie and Hazi. Plus I managed to secure a signed picture of Sir Stan. Great night. |

Anyone else going to the 5th BST Anniversary dinner? Would be good to put some more usernames to faces. |
| Forum Reply | A direct appeal to Ian Holloway at 21:23 12 May 2015
Holloway isn't stupid. Surely he'll only countenance the job if he is given firm guarantees or knows something about regime change that we're not privy to. His appointment would signify a massive change for the better IMO and should be welcomed. |
| Forum Reply | Time to hold your nose at 21:19 12 May 2015
Well said. Someone will take the job. If it is Holloway as rumoured, then surely he would have done due diligence over the current and short term future and maybe knows a lot more than we do. Bearing in mind the history of those most vociferously opposed to the appointment and I for one welcome it all the more |

This has been a long and stressful period for Andy and he can finally get the justice he deserved while those who have brought similar actions are hoist by their own petard. Well done Andy FREE THE STOCKPORT ONE |

Sunderland South will announce around 10.25. God knows how they do it. I was Presiding Officer at Knott End one election. By the time I'd got the ballot box to Cleveleys on my way to Marine Hall, three results were already in. Unbelievable. |
