Let’s just say there have been a number of occasions when I haven’t received tickets in the post for Saints away games, which made me think the Club had blacklisted me….. |

I see this rather differently.
These two players aren't players who have mainly just had Academy experience.
They have performed well in the Championship and League 1 over a number of seasons.
Clubs like Brentford and Boscombe have done well by picking out some of the best players from those divisions, enabling them to comfortably stay up.
If the worst happens and we go back down, they would at the very least be very useful back in the Championship. |

Guten Tag from Venlo station on the Dutch / German border.
Heading back to Eindhoven for a flight to Stansted.
What a day yesterday was.
I actually feel for those who left the game early; I have done it at Saints and regretted it.
The goal celebrations yesterday were something my daughter and I won’t forget in a while.
We need to up our game, but that result could be a big turning point for us going forward.

I'm not quite sure what the situation is with players being paid to pay for their country.
My thinking is that they are still paid by their club as usual.
The FA would then I think have to re-imburse the club for the duration that their player is away with the international squad, even if that is "out of season" for the clubs.
Players may then receive additional bonuses from the FA if we go particularly far in the tournament.
I think......
So ultimately the FA would be picking up the cost.
Southgate however strikes me as a totally reasonable chap, and would rather have a happy player even if it means the FA losing out financially. |

I think we can build a team around Downes, and signing him could be transformational for our hopes of having a good season.
Obviously we would still need players in a number of other key positions, but he would be such a brilliant signing that I would be prepared to sacrifice KWP (who I hugely admire) to get him in. |

You do realise how many games will be shown live each weekend?
Saturday 3pm kick-offs will be at most 50% of games on average in the Prem.
Even in the Championship there will be far more live games than last season. |
