We're in a bit of a spot here aren't we all told. 5 or 6 decent players but, god bless him, a primary school head in charge no? Successful football managers are strange headstrong beings, not altogether normal, and RS is definitely altogether normal. He's a decent football man though and no way should we even think about him leaving before the end of the season.
A realistic target was staying up and with RS we'll get there.
We have to see off Morton House, and take stock. And be realistic. |

I find it weird and bizarre, and frankly deeply cynical in the extreme in your case Norden Blue, to make moral conjecture on the father's doorstep reaction to the press in horrendous personal circumstances for his daughter for your own amusement or some such on a Rochdale football forum only says something about you.
Mason Greenwood will get what's coming to him, and the evidence looks properly damning. Having a go at her father - "money changing hands" . Give over you sad plank. |

Her family aren't backtracking at all. Her dad has said the Instagram post wasn't her doing, that's all. The abused generally sufffer in silence and protect the abuser don't they. Anyway, there's no denial from anyone so far of the verity of the stomach turning pics and sound clip.
Now her hand has been forced, she's given a statement to GMP and THEN he's been arrested. I very much doubt it's going away. |

We've done every blessed single thing we can to widen the ownership of our club to ward off the vultures. It's off the scale success. Okay, back in League 2, no biggie and indeed so what? We've had two promotions recently and we can do it again. |

There are no answers to the points you raise todfest. The club is no different to any other. The Glazers borrowed on the very assets they'd seize to be able to buy Man Utd for example. They'll never be any security in that sense. All that any fan base can do we've done in 21. It's a huge achievement, huge. |

Whilst feeling helpless about this whole shebang this morning, on a whim I dropped Rose's car lot a quick line (online form thing) this morning asking if they had anything on the forecourt at the mo that might suit a northern nancy boy. Made me feel better.
They actually called in less than 5, only I was on the lav see. Could hardly call back in the circumstances seeing I was taking the mick in the first place. Sorry I missed that call though - wonder what they would have said. |

A bit confusing this pre-contract thing. What if the lad goes on a purple patch and bangs in 15 screamers, unlikely but conceivable, before the end of the season i.e. before his contract with us runs out? Would the club have any cards at all to play, even 'ungentlemanly' ones? Or more likely his agent re wage demands? All a bit wooly.
I do realise he's a free agent come June 30 btw and we should probably be glad to get what we've got. Whatever that is... |
