Worst points total & goals scored. 08:40 - Dec 30 with 837 viewsGRIM

We currently have lowest number of points scored & the lowest number of goals scored in all of the 4 Football leagues.
This has now got very, very embarrassing.
It can't get any worse.

Sport Republic
5 managers in 3 years & 2 relegations.

Jokers.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

Totally incompetent
It cannot be right that they would waste all this money and be happy to be relegated again!
We are a bit like this country, in that we need a total reset
Embarrassing but I am not sure where the next win comes from
Brentford can’t win away but I bet they can next weekend

Needs a whole re-set in the summer.

We will need a new manager who can both get us up and then somehow keep us up there.

This is clearly becoming more and more difficult, and was way beyond Russell Martin, who will never be a manager again in the Premier League if the footballing gods get their way.

I think the only manager we could possibly get who could achieve these two objectives is Steve Cooper.

Poll: When will Martin be sacked?

Not sure we'll ever have a team capable if surviving in the Premier while SR own the club.
Their principles & logic just don't fit with Professional football clubs.
Their style of owning multiple clubs & utilising players between clubs is more suited to owning a chain of pubs & restaurants.
Also their insistence on spending millions on quantity rather than quality is a recipe for failure.

But if you look at Boscombe's Yank owner Foley, he also has stakes in the following:-

- Hibernian
- L'Orient in France
- Auckland FC in New Zealand

The difference is that Boscombe spend their money very wisely. Yes, they spent large on their Brazilian striker, but most of their players were bought in the £10 million - £15 million bracket. And almost without exception they are all very good.

They are just a whole lot smarter than us.

Worst owners of all time? They’ve got to be right up there.

You cannot reason a person out of something they were not reasoned into.

Sports Republic have been shown to be a totally useless bunch of absolute amateurs in my opinion. They couldn’t successfully run a bath or be able to figure out how to get home on a dark night.

Why our owners continue to be taken in by their obvious incompetence is beyond my comprehension. I’m reminded of the expression “ They must have more money than sense”.

Poll: Who is responsible for our current pathetic points total ?

Ulimately, the head of recruitment is as important as the manager (and, of course, he also helps select the managers). The last time we had a good one - Paul Mitchell - we saw the results on the pitch. This will be his first transfer window in charge at Newcastle. Perhaps we should monitor who they are bing linked with.

This is so true.

Joe Shields came to us highly-rated, but Lavia apart, he just signed a load of duds from Man. City.

Jason Wilcox was a big improvement, and we will never know exactly how big a loss it was when he left. It looks a massive loss to me though.
