QPR WANT NORWEGIAN FUTURE STAR
According to news outlets in Norway, QPR are interested in signing Tromso striker Lasse Nordas. Lasse is only 22 yet has heavily impressed during his career in Norway so far. He has featured for the Norway U21s on several occasions netting 3.
This season, he has 13 goal contributions within 28 games in the Eliteserien. He also netted 2 goals within the UECL qualifiers.
Valued at £1.5million, QPR are not the only club interested.

Cook and Colback's contracts were both to 2025 with an option for a further year. It was lassel who said the further year option was on the players' side. I agree with derby that the option will be on the club's side and I don't think an option on the player's side is even a thing.

7 hours left of the window, feels like we might see 3 in 1 out. If we get these two young left sided players the future could look really bright, a lot to build on going into next season. If Dunne goes and a replacement right back comes in I just hope its someone we have been looking at for a while rather than whats available at such short notice. |  |

I actually disagree. He would fit the formation and tactics very well.
In our 4141, it is all made to work by Morgan and Field being the middle of that “4” and having to get up into the box and out wide to support the winger, and back to protect alongside Varane. Morgan is slightly pushed up, hence it being asymmetrical, and Field is a little deeper so does more protecting. Both those get about the pitch and help close down the oppo quickly.
Luongo’s strengths were tackling and running. He was top of the league one year for tackles made. He would suit the system well as cover/competing with Field and Morgan. The bloke has also been a starter at this level with a team who won promotion. Only player in our squad who can say that is Cook. And look at the impact he has had.
HOWEVER, big point here, what is the point of signing him unless we can sign permanently within our wage structure (unlikely)? Even if that is possible, he is 33 at the start of next season. Would he be a starter? Ahead of Morgan or Field? Not sure. Would he be useful. Potentially, as an experienced head to replace Colback on lower wages, maybe. But as Nourry has said himself, we should really only be signing players on loan who will be under contract here thereafter. |
You misread my post. By me saying Luongo not fitting the model now, I did not mean the type of player he could be within our formation, it was more along the lines of being 33 and not young and up and coming and even coming from a premiership club currently, his wages would not fit in either for himself either.
That was my suggestion, why there would have been zero chance for ourselves to signing Luongo. |  |
