Help - sky sports "promise" 14:44 - Aug 5 with 4855 viewsdavman

When will they confirm kick off time for Burnley (a)? Currently it's a 3PM kick off, which is ideal for my plans whereas 1230pm would be a bit of a pain.

Anyone?

Can we go out yet?

worrying thing is , if they are aying we are going to be on a min 20 times per season , the second half of the season is going to be carnage , think we now have 7 games booked in for sky , that leaves min 13 for the second half

I think we have 10 games already selected:-

West Bromich h, Plymouth h, Luton a, Millwall h, Blackburn a, Coventry a, Watford a, Bristol City a, Norwich a, Luton h.

Swansea on Boxing Day might also be one of our "20" as I think all Championship matches on that day are shown live.

I'm sure Clive & others can confirm or correct me.

Don’t think West Brom. Punts aren’t all the games being showing that day and it’s not a designated sky stand alone fixture same for Swansea and midweek games show on the red button , so that makes it 9 live games min 11 for the second half maybe more

As a Rangers fan, and season ticket holder, it's rare I personally see 16 games by 6th January and if I have, it's usually accompanied by severe depression!!!

Poor sods who watch us that many times and don't follow us !!!

Seriously though, it's the beginning of something quite dark and sinister for me.

Is this going to have any impact eventually on attendances, particularly in the dark, cold and wet miserable winter months !!!

Not a good sign anyhow that coverage is up at this level !!!

The commitment from sky is to be shown on sky 20 times, not to be the feature game 20 times. So all red button games count towards the 20, so we'll be up to 16 by 6th January.

Yes, all games are being shown live, but they all count in the total games that Sky are broadcasting, so I would be amazed if it is not included in the "20". As the Swansea match will be IF I'm correct abot Boxing Day.

There is no red button this season.

It's not a limit of 20 though, or have I missed something?

Where can you watch the games is it on an app or have Sky got a new channel?

Its a promise of a minimum. We'll easily be on more than 20 times just with midweek and funky kick off times.

Well of the 8 games at 12.30 on Saturday, 7 are on a channel called 'Sky Sports Plus', the remaining one being on 'Sky Sports Main Event'. Red button? No idea.

I've had an email from Virgin telling me I need a 'free' upgrade to my TiVo box to receive SkySports+. The kicker is it means losing all existing recordings on the box.

If you have a Sky+ box (like me) then you only get the featured game on the new Sky Sports + channel. Options you have are watch on your phone or tablet via the app or upgrade to SkyQ for an extra 15quid a month

Does anyone know if QPR are showing the game abroad tomorrow?

Yes Dave. It automatically dropped in on Thursday as they promised for Sky Sports subscribers.

Yeah I've got the old box so need to upgrade to get it, don't think I'll bother as don't want to lose the playoff final off the old box
