You have mental Trump making up policies and "truths" as he goes along. and he's been facing criminal charges.
You'd think the Democrats would only have to put up a reasonably competent candidate and they'd win by a mile. But no, they went for an even older guy who is not up to it and now Trump looks like he's the favourite again.

Mixing up people's names is a common sign of Dementia. There are times when Biden just looks confused and lost as people move normally around him. He really shouldn't be in that position. Unfortunately, the polls show that his vice-president, Kamala Harris, has even less chance of beating Trump. It's hard to believe after the way he left the last time, but it looks like 4 more years of Trump is inevitable. I'm no Trump fan, but all the wars started (Russia /Ukraine, Israel / Gaza), only when Trump had left office. Didn't he even threaten King John Un, which put him in his place? When a party chooses a candidate or new leader, there is a lot of rivalry and jealousy involved, which means the best candidate doesn't usually win. Biden's age counted in his favour at one time as those queueing up to take his place thought he wouldn't be around much longer.
Candidates at the peak of their powers with strong personalities attract the most jealousy so dull characters are often selected. But, this isn't always such a bad thing as dull characters are often good administrators, who do a better job than charismatic personalities who perform well in front of the cameras. Thanks, Ronan. I didn't know that. It looks as though Harris will lose whoever she chooses as her running mate so It's really just a question of the size of her defeat.

This is partially correct. It is only an issue in the state of California, having Harris and Newsom on same ticket.
There is a work around, if one of them changed their residency, which has been done before , with Dick Cheney.
It will be interesting how this pans out with California a big prize. His record in California is not that good, he isn't that popular especially with the proposal for reparation awards for slavery, in a state that didn't allow slaves ?
Trump would have a field day with Newsom and some of the woke policies he supports. | | | |
