The 'facts' are your incessant whinging are totally out of proportion to the supposed problem. Yesterday saw local boy Liam Cullen called up to the first team again, alongside Roberts and Rodon. Meanwhile Ben Cabango is coming off the back of a solid, encouraging run of games. There's also been a good number more local players in recent years, some going onto big money transfers. This isn't the 1950s anymore, where players grew up together on the same streets. I'd say the set-up has done alright for our 'local lads' despite your continued (and continued, and continued) claim it's inherently broken. What more do you expect from it!?
Yes players like Ryan Blair and Biabi turned out unsuccessful but that same scouting policy of bolstering youth numbers with young pros from elsewhere brought in Oli McBurnie and Dan James, so it's paid for itself tenfold. Did we miss out on the next Ivor or Robbie as a result of it? Doubtful. The best of the local players still had a route to the top as demonstrated by our current squad. [Post edited 9 Feb 2020 14:39]
