Under attack for having an opinion. Free speech has been destroyed by the liberal left.

Don't be such an arse. Nobody has destroyed anything. He put his opinion out there, others are disagreeing with him. The very essence of free speech.

It won’t be long until he has a milkshake thrown over him.

He lives in the Caribbean.

Perhaps he’ll be milkshaked by people who dislike immigrants? Like him.

You have to admit its rather ironic that he doesn't think London is an English city any more, so he's feckin off to the Caribbean. No doubt the locals are rolling their eyes and saying " not another feckin honky!"

He’s been in the Caribbean for a year or so.

Before that he lived partly in the States.

John Cleese said it wouldn't be possible to make Monty Python today, and that was echoed by the BBC's Head of Comedy, who talked about its lack of 'diversity'.

A fish called Wanda?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

The result of course is insipid dour comedy and an endless string of heavily edited panel shows, whilst edgier “offensive” shows such as Fawlty Towers, Only Fools etc are still the funniest and most popular shows out there.

OFAH is still shown almost constantly.

It’s not remotely edgy and offensive. It is very, very funny.

Fawlty Towers isn’t as funny when you watch it back, in my opinion of course. It seems rather slapstick these days.

I agree with you it’s not offensive, but when it first landed on Netflix there was a whole new audience and there was a lot of people kicking off about it being racist and sexist because of a few throw away references in the earlier series to “p*ki shops” and describing ex girlfriends as “dogs” or “bow wows”. Same thing happened with Friends, people said it was transphobic.

There was also people who claimed OFAH glorified criminality as they are tax dodging petty criminals etc.

Either way it would not be allowed to be made today.

Yeah no one makes television programmes about criminals anymore.

Those that are tend to get cancelled.

A guilty pleasure was "Dara O'Braian's 8 bit" on I think it was Dave.

Premise was he hosted the show alongside a female gaming expert; two comedians as regular captains who had celeb team mates - playing computer games from the 80s onwards.

Great nostalgic vibe for those remembering games from the days they grew up, it was just funny seeing how dated some stuff was and how crap the celebs were at gaming.

Didn't get amazing viewing figures, got cancelled.

I was in London a few weeks ago.
The amount of times I had to repeat myself in the hotel and in shops because the people couldn’t understand plain English was incredible.
