The Ole Effect 16:54 - Mar 7 with 13187 views | Wizard | Do you think Hill going and BBM with TE taking over, will have the same effect on the players as Mourinho going and Solskjaer taking over at United has! I BLOODY HOPE SO! Big week coming up. 2 home games followed by our derby, Accy away. Big chance for BBM and TE to put themselves in pole position. Good luck lads.

Absolutely this. He's not had a real managerial decision to make yet, just playing (largely) excellent players in their positions. I'm not saying he's incapable of doing it, but there's a lot more to management than saying to World Cup winners and elite level players to go out and play to their ability. We've got some very good players, but we clearly don't have one of the best squads in the division.

Elite players , who are playing in elite competitions against other elite players. It’s exactly the same for BBM, get our players in their right positions, playing to the best of their abilities in an encouraging environment

I agree the immediate effect that Flitcroft had at Barnsley was not down to coaching alone same with Solskaer and many other examples when a new man takes over. Sometimes all that's needed is giving the player freedom from criticism and a bit of belief. I sure the players at the end under Hill were pissed off by his blame culture and happy to see the back of him just like we are.

He will indeed. The sad, sad little man. It’s very, very, very strange that he had a massive dummy spit on the mong board and vowed to never post there again but appears every few weeks on here as a new ‘character’. And they call us obsessed...

Probably because they were the only options on offer? We’re bottom of the foodchain and have to make the best of whats left over.. You seem a little obsessed over me being in favour of keeping Hill, very strange. [Post edited 7 Mar 2019 22:17]

We are not bottom of the food chain. There is a vast pool of players out there capable of league one football. Even if I accept your description, it means that whatever Hill did in the first 8 years with ‘substandard’ players, he either forgot or was no longer able to do latterly. Your failure to acknowledge that is what I am getting at. We have some good players.

Loans aside (Lonergan, Clough and EEL are all capable), Henderson is the only good player in our squad

I happened to see your post before you edited it. If you're new to the forum then surely you wouldn't even know who the person is that he's referring to? The cynic in me says that the timing of your registration and KH's sacking and more than coincidental. Tbh, I don't care either way...you crack on [Post edited 8 Mar 2019 8:23]

Pretty impressive that a ‘new poster’ knows exactly who I’m referring to. Just sayin’.
