A Spurs fan didn't write that, it's a spoof site designed to mock towns and cities across the country.

That site Spurs Community, is basically a site where 99% of the posters are non match going (either home or way)
The genuine fans will be looking forward to the trip, will probably take over a couple of the pubs in Rochdale, but would expect most will just drink in Manchester and roll up to Rochdale late.

Also people in glass houses should not throw stones, Tottenham is an absolute shithole.

Hi. Another Spur here (you'll be sick of us soon if you aren't already). As the other fella says above, No one who is actually from N17 (not many of us these day) would have the cheek to criticise someone elses's town!

On the subject of Spurs forums, personally i think TFC is by far the best. You get banned by the powers that be on COYS is you dare to criticise THFC in ANY way & you get banned from Spurs Community if you dare to suggest the 'ITKs' are talking nonsense & living in cloud cuckoo land.

So TFC is where the free-thinkers & the non-conformists end up (ie, the aforementioned 'nutters'). We generally get the most away fans as well, we already have several of your compadres with us. Good lads they seem as well.

The only ones that will not tolerated under any circumstances are Woolwich Arsenal or Chelsea.

Anyway, sod the pitch, Lets just get on with it & all enjoy the game

Why limit it to N17? On my trips to London games I've generally found the whole place depressing. You'll find Rochdale's town centre remarkable compared to the stereotypical brush our detractors paint us with.

You'll find most of the locals are a friendly bunch too.

One thing I've noticed is that every Tottenham fan who's popped up on here calls themselves a Spur. Is this a London thing?

If we'd have drawn Arsenal, for example, would their lot be popping up saying, "Another Arse here"?

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

Plural 'we are the Spurs' so singular 'i am a Spur' i suppose. Normally we would say another Y but for the sake of decorum.....well you know.

As for Woolwich, they may say 'Another Arse here' but they would be an inch or two out.

Maybe another term for Spurs wrong 'uns with some redeeming features could be Spurineums?

Sorry to hear that. I know what it feels like as it happened to me in the past too, but at a younger age. I hope also that some more good results on the field will also help to keep a smile on your face too.

Good luck in finding a position. We've nothing going at our place at present.
I know a place in Littleborough that is struggling to recruit skilled sheet metalworkers and fabricators if that's any use?

Poll: What is it to be then?

Thanks Judd it would be a long commute and a bit late for an apprenticeship...but you know what in a couple of responses doesn't it show the depth and care of what a Dale supporter is (it's more than just football) ....the sincerity of being a Daley its not just about glory, that is the icing on the cake......... when it comes around how dare blown up prima donnas take that away from those that deserve and have earned that moment that comes around maybe once in a lifetime.

Sorry Knightowl, to deflect the thread from your awful news, but....

Reading a Tottenham Forum where they were discussing the best neutral venue to play our tie, I happened upon this nugget!

"Bolton would be nice as have family up there. "

"Oldham or Bolton would be the natural choices I think."

"Closest would be Bury, followed by Oldham."

"Bury is worse than Rochdale. "

Poll: Who do you think bury should appoint as their next manager?

KnightOwl, I was made redundant at a similar age and thought that`s it for me. Anyway I applied to Sainsburys for a driving job and got it. I can honestly say they are the best employers I`ve ever worked for and they positively encourage applications from us oldies.Have a look on Sainsburys website for vacancies in your area.Good Luck.
