Very much worth thinking about, I was given info years ago regarding a few things, I got bollockings for two of them and Steve Parkin was very unhappy with the third bit getting out as well. I reported on the old Rivals board about Dave Bayliss leaving for Luton Town before anyone but the chairman knew. I got a phone call asking to explain how I knew from the football club.
I also posted that we were about to appoint John Hollins as manager, three days before we did and I had David Kilpatrick asking people to find out how I knew.
The last one was Rickie Lambert joining from Stockport County and Steve Parkin was furious as the information getting out almost scuppered the deal.
I still get told stuff, I keep it to myself these days.

There are people who are involved in clubs/organisations who like to pass on info without ever questioning whether they should. For some it's the desire to be popular.
