Aye. Freakin' peas. Might have been trying to say something about lost revenue and 'amateur' challenge to the way is club run generally?

Last caller hardly sparkled did he?

They did! Negotiations are at a very delicate stage but it is hoped will be concluded by the end of the season.

What did they say?

Well the only thing we learnt overall was that Chris Dunphy ignored / forgot about the peas discussed in The Baum. Other than that they came across very well as always and Keith admitted he deliberately says things to take pressure off the players :)

Interesting how CD said there was a chairmain of a L1 club who had put in £19m and they are still below us. Presume he means Fleetwood

Poll: So who do you believe - Hendo or the Board?

Stadium was mentioned - CD hoping situation to be resolved - sounded a bit bit exasperated or exhausted by the twists and turns of the negotiations. Sure he can carry the ball over the line (in RL terms).

In a similar vein CD seemed a bit overwrought by the possibility of reaching the play-offs and what two victories in semis and final might mean. To be fair to him, he's not the youngest, and am sure would love to pass the burden of the chairmanship on. He came across a bit 'Godfrey'.

Keith was great - lots of talk of the meagre budget of course but lots of zest for the fight and the qualities of our squad and our youngsters. Don't think he'd fancy going up either though...

Peterborough have made more than that in player sales down the years! It must be Fleetwood. They've built a Stadium and come from nothing in 8-10 years?

I was thinking Notts County. Hasn't Trew ploughed millions into the club?

couple of other snippets. Hilly said Jamie's injury wasn't as bad as expected - has about 16 stitches and will miss 3 or 4 games but hopes he will be available for the last 4 or so games.

Also said Eastham will start on Friday

Got to be Notts, figures of 14-18M have been bandied around by Trew earlier this season.

Understand that. My angle is, given the budget will never really change and consolidation is a mirage, is go for it, smash and grab, play the youngsters, go for glory and come back down relatively unscathed. What's to lose Norden?

Having trouble believing anyone associated with a club that in over 100 years has never been to the second tier dont fancy the prospect of promotion to it. This isnt like a tap that can be turned on and off whenever one wants. The possibility might not come around again for another 100 years.

Are there any other clubs whose leaders dont fancy the prospect of success? Or is it something in the water at Rochdale?

Perhaps before any more season tickets are sold for next season the fans should be told whether the board and management would fancy the prospect of promotion.
