Ugh. I'm in the middle of the Virgin Media renewal dance.
I had to speak to a lady somewhere in India called REIGN (okay, Reign, whatever) as she took 15 minutes a time to offer me three SHIT renewal prices.
Currently paying £54 for 350Mbps and the not totally basic TV package.
Auto-renewal price was £91 a month (go f**k your dad, Branson). She offered me like 88, 85 and then ultimately got down to £77 for internet SLOWER than I have now.
Eventually after an hour OF THIS HORSESHIT I get put through to Mr. Disinterested in retentions who eventually gets it down to £66 for the same SLOWER speed.
F**K ALL OF YOUR DADS.
So I've cancelled and am now playing a game of chicken that possibly ends with me and my wife having a real problem working from home. F**k it though. I'm not letting them win.
And because I live in a semi-rural village there's literally no competition. Hmph!

Fk that!! I'm with Virgin Media and paying around £25 (IIRC) or maybe slightly less for 350Mbps. Been with them for donkey's years so maybe that's helped. However, maybe your location and lack of alternatives is driving up the price?

I still use a photo editing program called PaintShop Pro 5 that's probably 25+ years old. It does just what I need. I don't need the latest update every 6 months that has a zillion features I'll never use. Why can't I have that choice?

Years ago I said to VM "why can't I just cherry pick the channels I want and you provide a price?" Noooooo..... you have to pick a package and get schit loads of channels you don't want because they are then in control and they spread what they know are the popular channels across different packages so you have to have multiple packages containing about 70% of channels you don't want or will ever watch.

I know that we probably all overuse smartphones a bit too much but F**KING HELL, YOUNG PEOPLE. I go to the gym in my lunch hour. Get in, warm up, lift some weights and I f**k off.
Because I did my back in doing squats a couple of years back, I stick to the machine weights for safety. I figure any kind of lifting is better than no lifting. So it's fine.
But f**k me with these f**king idiot teens/20-somethings. It's like do 10 seconds of lifting, sit there for five minutes looking at their phone. A woman yesterday was sat at the leg press machine and took a f**king phone call. Hogged that machine for like 10 minutes.
And of course I can't say shit to her because if you even look at a woman in a gym you're now John Leslie. And I can do my routine in any order so it wasn't a showstopper for me. But it just gets on my tits, know what I mean?
