Thanks, Dar - I can sleep tonight now, safe in the knowledge that my beloved club is in safe hands. Monk and KOL - the dream team...

David N'gog on 10:28 - Apr 13 by Dr_Winston | A vital part of being a football manager is playing people in their proper positions my dear friend. Maybe Laudrup would still be here had he done that more often? Maybe Monk wouldn't have to use Lita on the bench if Mikey had sought out better cover up front than Alvaro "This season's Shechter" Vasquez? ALl four current CL semi finalists play with a recognised striker. Last year's finalists played with recognised strikers. The current top four teams in the PL play with recognised strikers. The top two teams in La Liga play with recognised strikers. The top teams in the Bundesliga play with recognised strikers. I see a theme developing here, and it ain't "playing without strikers = success". |
Living in caves used to be a theme too So you are saying some of the best managers in the world have not used this method with success in recent years? Back to the question Which would you prefer on the pitch Lita or Poz? [Post edited 13 Apr 2014 10:53]

Other than the Spanish team in the Euros I'm struggling to think of another team who have had success without playing a recognised forward. I must have missed loads if that many successful teams are doing it. Back to the question? In midfield, Pozulo. Upfront, Lita. Because one's a midfielder and the other is a striker. I believe that's been covered already.

David N'gog on 09:13 - Apr 13 by icecoldjack | That was my origional thought with N'gog ,i welcomed that signing actually, less so with Emnes as id seen enough to know he will never be stella with us . N'gog hasnt had hardly any minutes, so i presume he is either not doing it in training or he is just stuck behind others in the pecking order . I wonder what we are paying him ? |
Too. F*cking. Much. | | | |

That would have been far more impressive if you'd spelled taxonomic and limiting correctly...

Someone needs to tell Rooney, Van Persie and Hernandez that they aren't strikers. Scratch that, tell Moyes. He could use the help.

David N'gog on 23:36 - Apr 12 by citywalljack | whoever signed off our January transfer activity was either on a 'fifa manager high' or just arrogant to think signing Ngog, emnes and lita back from loan would improve our premier league survival chances. Hull and palace signed decent players to help them survive easily - at some stage - hopefully when we're safe - someone will stick their hand up and take responsibility |
Can't see that happening - the whole thing reeks of a massive Jenkins ego trip. Either that or he spent most of January on a crack pipe.

Well as shareholders don't we have any voting powers at the AGM? Not for sacking but to raise tough questions and get answers written down on paper. Nobody is bigger than the club [Post edited 13 Apr 2014 12:10]
