That was nerve-shreddingly tense. We deserved to win and Hughes has definitely brought a more common sense approach. I need a day or two to get used to the fact that we are NOT going down! Well done Saints and all the fans that were there.

Glad to see that the swing needed is 10, not a paltry 9. I think Man City will have to do most of the work on that because Swansea don't look like they are going to put 5 or 6 against anyone.

Simply - get the fvck in there !!

Set up to frustrate in the first half - but apart from 2 great Austin chances, us fans were the only ones frustrated !!

Much better in 2nd half and the injury to Bed probably did us a favour, as it meant putting an extra man further up the pitch and we were more organised at the back - winning headers instead of everyone leaving it for everyone else !!

On another night, Austin could have had a hatrick and we could have also scored from Long, Tadic and Gab. We had by far the better chances and Swans didn't really create many clear cut chances - so we can see why they are where they are !!

Great atmosphere and support from the Saints fans and superb to see the players so pumped when they came over at the end. Loads of shirts into the crowd and Charlie launched his boots into the disabled section !! Only moan apart from the hotel and bus fiascos, was the Booing from the Swans fans as Bednarek was being stretchered off !! (Not even 2 x M4 diversions could ruin the journey home !!)

Congratulations to not only Mark Hughes and the players but everybody involved with and/or supporting the club and a big thank You to Manolo Gabbiadini for the one goal of the match and to Alex McCarthy for a copy of his world class save against Everton.
As Nail biting affair as expected. The players and Hughes showed courage and believe and job well done.
I am so glad avoiding being a nerve reck until the final whistle on sunday and avoiding depression there after.
It´s tough being a Saints fan sometimes , but it has been my club for almost 40 years and will forever be <3

Redmond was so bad he made JWP look like Messi when he came on.

Saints can't seem to get a brake against Man City last minute of extra time again, but we are back again next year and have a feeling we will much better. Great effort from the lads shame we could not get a point out of the game though, but l am encouraged for next year.Coyr.

lots to look forward to next season
playing eight at the back every game & then having to listen to the management afterwards

NO INVESTMENT SINCE 1885 & a few people making huge sums of money then telling us do as you are told

Poor match with hardly any serious efforts on goal. A bore draw would have been about right. Hughes has certainly tightened us up at the back but with a pathetic front line we have no chance of winning matches against the likes of Man C. Outcome was more or less inevitable.

Hoedt & Hojberg were simple outstanding

Excellent team spirit. Hojbjerg's best game for Saints. The system seems to work, will it continue under Hughes next season? We deserved at least a point against the Champions. Well done Saints.
