![]() Wednesday, 11th Feb 2009 09:53 Its all quiet on the as Saints face a weekend in which they could well and truly be cast adrift. The official Saints web site has five stories showing on its front page and four of them have no real connection to what is happening this week at St Mary's. In a week when we face one of the in form team in the division, there is only one story that concentrates on what is happening at St Mary's now and that is that Rudi Skacel is back in the squad. Surely there must be more to write about in the World of Saints at the moment, the Daily Echo seems to be able to find enough stories on the club to fill its sports pages so why not the club itself ? OK some of the Echo stories dont exactly put the club in a good light, but surely its in the interests of the club to tackle these stories head on, rather than ignore them and hope they go away, if the club ignore the difficult issues, then supporters will start to see its own website as nothing more than a biased propoganda machine, its credibility will be blown and fans will use it for nothing more than a results and fixture service. I do however take the point that being Club owned there will always be a little bit of a biased element and I think supporters expect that but there is a difference between a little bias and a blatant disregard for issues the fans want to see the Club's take on. However i do digress, as this week has just seen a total lack of Saints news that the fans want to read, yes some will be interested to know that Panini now have a Championship stickers book, but the majority are anxious to hear about the team and injury news, in what after all is a very important weekend for the club.
