![]() Thursday, 13th Mar 2008 22:27 When Saints beat Hull at St Mary's there was no clue as to what would happen next When Saints beat Hull City 4-0 in December, there looked likely to be only one side that would challenge for a play off spot and one that would struggle against relegation. Sadly for us the truth couldnt be more different as Hull look to be heading for a play off spot whilst we look only over our shoulders, the Tigers are the form team of the Championship and Saints will need to be at their best to even get a point on Saturday. Having said that though Saints have a fighting spirit about them now and with that much needed win out of the way it would be a brave man who would bet against Saints getting a point. Of course that would leave them still in a worrying position, but truth is Saints have to concentrate only on themselves, if they keep the unbeaten run going and continue to pick up points away from home, we might have a few sleepless nights but come the end of the season we will be safe. Of course Saints will once again have to put out a patched up side, but the fighting spirit instilled in the side now will ensure that whats lost in quality is more than made up for in fighting spirit. So its a case of write Saints off at your peril, Hull will be full of confidence but to be blunt there is little between the top and bottom of this division, apart from a few winning streaks, have Hull had theirs and are Saints about to have theirs Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
