Leon Britton believes that the 2-2 draw at Crewe will spur the Swans onto greater things

Two late goals at Gresty Road saw the Swans pegged back to 2-2 when it seemed they were well set for another victory - their 9th on their travels this season - but it wasn't to be as they conceded twice in the last ten minutes to hand the home side an unlikely point.

But Britton, who played his 200th Swans game on the weekend believes that the late fightback will serve to spur the Swans on rather than play on their minds as they prepare to entertain Walsall at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

Britton told the Western Mail, “Everybody was very low after the game, it was a mixture of feelings of disappointed and frustration.

“In any game if you go into the half-time break with a very comfortable two-goal lead you would expect to come away with all the points.

“Maybe we took our foot off the gas a bit, but I thought we had still done enough to close the game out.

“But the most important thing now is that we don’t dwell on that result, instead we use it to push us even harder into our next game against Walsall on Tuesday.

“A lot of teams in this league are capable of putting a run together and will have their eye on a play-off place.

“From now until the end of the season every club will be scrapping for every point, just like Crewe, everybody still has something to play for so it’s going to be very difficult.”
