Coleman and Bell sacked
Coleman and Bell sacked

Dale have today terminated the contracts of management duo John Coleman and Jimmy Bell after a disappointing twelve month spell in charge at Spotland.

With their first anniversary fast approaching, Dale took the decision to sack John Coleman today after a poor run of form left supporters in fear of a relegation battle.

Dale have lost eight out of their last ten matches, and supporter confidence had been eroded during this run, along with a home form and poor player discipline.

A replacement is expected to be named within the next few days and should be in charge for the trip to Cheltenham on Friday night,

Correct decision but what a waste of 12 months and prob about £100k in compensation - JC won just 14 out of 52 matches!!
To have someone in place before the weekend must mean they have already been approached so Hill looks the likely candidate - whoever we get lets hope it means the end of Cavanagh as both player and captain
