As a newport fan living in Tameside it was great to see so many dale fans dressed up and enjoying themselves today in newport, you did your club proud, I know you prob didn't get the result you really wanted but at the end of the day your up, it was a pleasure mixing with your fans today, all the best for next season |

best of luck to you Rochdale fans and have a great day, gonna be a strange day for me travelling down with a car of dale fans and me being a county fan, and by the way it's cwtch, that's how we say it in South Wales |

Like I posted on another thread, the main pub Rochdale fans will be at is the queens ( lloyds bar) in bridge street, 3-4 min walk from the train station, there's more pubs a short distance away which you should be welcome in, but that will be the main pub, |

I believe it's mainly the younger ones who obviously don't remember the early yrs, but due to social media, and you tube and other various sites, they think there missing out on things, plus with so many not being able to handle there drink, and the use of drugs goes to there heads, I think you will find the older guys believe it is just not worth a ban, the fine and possible loss of a job, many are married, kids , jobs, so is it really worth it, def no. Unfortunately it's a part of life in this day and age |

ffs newport is like any other club, people are hanging on to the fact we had a reputation in the 80s , well so did most clubs, if away fans are gonna go into home fans main boozers then there just asking for trouble, it's called using your brain, that's why police designate certain pubs so away fans can have a drink and a laugh, like any other club if you want trouble you can find it, it doesn't matter what you wear there are always morons who have a couple of shandys and hell bent on causing trouble, keyboard trolls try using message board forums to entice trouble but most with a brain just laugh it off |

Yes there is a social club attached, it's just inside the main home entrance, and away supporters are allowed, |

It's because of the numbers, that's all, and like I said in another thread unfortunately we all have idiots still living in the 80s , yes you will see fans having a drink together and hopefully having a good time and exchanging stories, but there's always one or two idiots that like to spoil things |

unfortunately mate like most clubs we all have a few idiots hell bent on spoiling it for the genuine fans, but hopefully come sat, there will be a good bit of banter, a good game and a great day had by all |

You won't get a pub near the ground, you will get the lloyds bar in the city centre, and will be escorted to and from the ground |

I know it's right because I'm from newport lived there 44 yrs it's just the last 4 yrs lived in Tameside, it's a shame the fa have decided not to have a trophey at rp on sat, the real one is at chesterfield and the replica is at Scunthorpe |

Modelboydave , there are quite a few pubs in town, come out the station turn left about 100 yards or so there is a pedestrian cross over and you will come across wetherspoons straightaway, that is Cambrian road, if you go to the end of the road you will see the lamb, turn right at the lamb and you will see the queens ( lloyds bar) wetherspoons, that's where all the rochdales fans will be, ground is 10 mins walk away |
| Forum Reply | NEWPORT COUNTY PROGRAMME at 14:17 1 May 2014
usually on a normal day parking wouldn't be a problem, you can take your chances of parking near the ground or near town, but then all you will be doing is just wasting time, your better of paying the £4 parking at the ncp in kings way, that way you know your car is safe and you can go to the pub enjoy the atmosphere, |
| Forum Reply | NEWPORT COUNTY PROGRAMME at 13:32 1 May 2014
You will find it hard parking close to the pub unless you get there early and very lucky, your better off parking at the ncp car park just a few mins walk from the pub, then you can enjoy the day, |

Yes mate especially with 1300 plus in town, fans usually travelling down by train or in mini buses tend to have a few pints around town then make there way to the queens( lloyds bar ) as that will be rochdales designated pub, then 45 mins before kick off escorted down bridge street, over the footpath over the river and straight into the ground |
| Forum Reply | NEWPORT COUNTY PROGRAMME at 11:28 1 May 2014
You could try parking in maindee, but if your looking to joining your fans, your best parking in town as Rochdale fans will be using the queens ( lloyds bar) and then escorted over the foot bridge to the ground |
