It says everything that even with the knowledge (one assumes) that two players were about to sign, Riga is quoted in the press as "bemoaning the lack of recruits" instead of talking about "freshening things up". It is evident that the two new boys are not exactly Riga sanctioned signings, but KO bargain basement buys. That's not to criticise them before they've kicked a ball but it suggests they are not the players that Riga sees as pieces in the jigsaw, but rather square pegs being pushed into round holes through necessity due to a small squad. Riga deserves our support...let's face it Billy Ayre had similar problems in Division 3! |

DSOL....the 10 year old isn't far off being able to look after both of us, and in 7 years he'll be the proverbial outhouse. The 7 year old....well in 7, 10, or 15 years she's going nowhere near you |

Was planning on going to Forest meet up with mates, drink beer, good laugh, day out etc All good, then my son aged 10 , who has been to quite a few games with me tells me he wants to come with me. Ok... I can manage that.....then 7 year old who has been to one other game, with me, her brother and Mum, as well as West Ham at Wembley tells me she wants to come too. She has asked about coming before and I have always taken it with a pinch of salt. I try and put the 7 year old off coming. "It'll be a long day....nothing like Wembley, and we aren't the same team!" Her Mum tries to help me out, "Why don't us girls go and watch to fly a dragon 2( or whatever it is)". My daughter says , "no I want to watch Blackpool, and as for the players Dad, the team will be around after all the players have died". So, day out on the piss could be ruined or do I selfishly put my foot down or selflessly prevent what could be a bad football memory from made. So should they stay or should they go? |
