Hi MP Iāll be honest yes your first 2 points were correct for me, it naffed me off on Wednesday the fixture release, Iād forgotten to take the link off of my calendar on my phone so it popped up as a notification 23/24 EFL fixtures released, even seeing the Johnstone paints trophy fixtures (a comp which I couldnāt really be doing with) felt like a bit of a kick in the spuds, but at least weāve got the FA trophy to look forward to instead. On Mitchell I think he will be used more as a foil for the other attacking players, hold the ball up and bring others in to play, close defenders down etc, something weāve been missing since jake Beesley left. As for promotion itās a pipe dream for this season, the club has been pulled to pieces over the last 5 years so weāre in a rebuild phase, I would snap your hand off for a solid mid table finish with a decent cup run. |

Would have to go for: A) Jake Beesleyās goal against Burnley, the feeling of celebrating that goal in a packed away end was magic, Iād missed that a lot over the previous 18 months. B) The obvious one would be relegation last season by a point, made even more frustrating by all the goals conceded in injury time, just one of those goals doesnāt go in and weāre safe but thatās football for you. The other would be the fear over the summer with the hostile take over attempt. Hopes for 22: consolidate in league2, have a strong end to the season flirt with the playoffs but ultimately miss out, give ourselves a bit more time to build and gel and go forward in to next season as hopefully a contender for playoffs minimum, similar to the second half of the 06/07 season. |
| Forum Thread | The club shop moving forward. at 15:06 19 May 2015
Not posted for a while but had an idea I'd like to debate with everyone. It seems that in recent years the club shop have had their hands tied with regards to selling independent merchandise i.e. not emblazoned with carbrini, Fila, errea etc. from memory the club used to sell items such as cargo shorts with a badge on, simple polo tops with small crest, cotton T-shirts, navy blue jackets with dale across the front. but all these items seem to have disappeared in favour of the sponsored gear. Does anyone know if we are tied in to deal where we are unable to produce our own merchandise? If we are able to produce our own merchandise, Seeing as we have a new marketing manager on board now would be a good time to flood her with ideas of things we would like to purchase from our club shop. Please feel free to add ideas of things you would be likely to purchase. I'll kick the list off with things I wouldn't mind seeing. . Plain polo T-shirts with club crest . Cargo shorts with club crest . Rafc beach towels . Rafc flip flops . Rubber phone cases with fixtures printed on the back . Hard plastic phone cases . Rafc slippers Cheers sl23 |

I went to border rose in littleborough for mine. It's on my calf and is approx 7inch x 4inch. Only thing is you may have to wait a while to get in there |

How do whitey? From the train station if you walk straight out to the main road which is tweedale st and turn right you will find drake st. Walk to the bottom of there and you will find the regal moon which is a fairly cheap boozer, and on the right hand side you will find the bus station. This will take you aproximately 15-20 mins to walk. To get to spotland you can get the Buses: 443, 444 or the 438 all of which should drop you off at greave then you can walk straight up the hill (on sandy lane) and the stadium will be on the right hand side. |

Got my tickets this week for the game. I'm looking forward to witnessing a little bit of history in a World Cup game being played on my home ground, and it will be good to give pat Richards a big send off. Ā£10 each I paid so not bad value. |

Just out of curiosity, do the club get a cut of the ticket sales for away games? Or is it that they just hand over whatever they generate? Because if we get a cut it would be in our own interests to buy from the club even though it may be an inconvenience. Just a thought |

Even so it seems daft to me to sack some1 after 6 games and a league cup game. If they had doubts from last year they should have gotten rid In the summer and give a new fella a chance. |

I agree they had a poor season last year but it's not that long ago they challenged in the L1 playoffs and won the paint pot trophy. They have the core of those teams still there, maybe it needed a bit of time and a few tweaks. The real reason for worry would be the drop in attendances because let's face it they have no other team near then within about a 50 mile radius |

I think it depends on your age, the older fans are more likely to say Burnley, but we haven't played them much in the past 20 years so you could argue that the rivalry has dropped off. If you ask younger fans it will definently be bury just because of the distance and banter etc and the fact we have been around the same level for 10 years or so. |
| Forum Reply | Grant or Hogan? at 20:09 18 Aug 2013
That's a tough 1. Both have undoubted ability but for me it would be bobby grant. This is based on his ability to pull out a pearler from absolutly nothing. So far hogan has been excellent but only when things have been going our way, for example at burton we were up against it and I think he wasn't in the game as much. But I am still very pleased we have hogan and hope he can fire is to success. |

Colin Garlick explains the decision on his interview on daleplayer. He has the rule book out and Basically states that: Careless challenge = foul free kick punishment Reckless challenge = foul, free kick, yellow card Excessive force = straight red. States that the club feels that Cavs challenge was reckless at worst warrenting yellow card not red Hopes common sense will prevail. Says Cav maybe should have been more aware of the players around him, but for me he's only got eyes for the ball. After the Perkins decision in 08 I don't have much faith in the disciplinary committee |

The most infuriating thing about the ref was his inconsistency, he was extremely picky and every 50-50 call seemed to go burtons way, even shoulder to shoulder challenges were given as a foul against. And to top it all in the 2nd half the blatant 2 footed tackle from behind on Lund around the halfway line which didnt even warrant a talking to, can't remember which 1 of theirs it was. |
