Made a fortune from the game while doing his PhD in the evenings. Retired early to found an AI company. |

The club had to do some irresponsible deals to get Cook & Colback to join. Same with Andersen and Frey who got extremely good second year options on their side in return for doing 6 months in return for a pack of polo’s. |

Assuming Chair is sold in January, I wouldn’t extend any of the rest. In reality of course, Dunne & Kolli will get extensions and Cook & Colback may well activate their options. |

They’re already posting in numbers hoping that their guys break some of players legs in the return fixture |

Not trying to sound negative, just genuinely interested. 15 years or so ago I was dating an American girl and back then the K1 requirement was for a more long term relationship so I could imagine you ending up in the slow line waiting a few years for an answer 😐 |
| Forum Reply | Moving to the USA? at 21:15 16 Dec 2024
Serious question, is there a realistic prospect of a K1 being granted after only a few months’ relationship? |

What visa are you considering applying for? 6 month tourist? Or? |

My concern was really more that the guy is quite clearly in a sad place mentally and has been for quite a while. He needs people around him to protect him from himself and keep him away from football. |

Come on now Gaz, even as a fellow contrarian, claiming Fox to be better than Ashby is a desperate reach. |
| Forum Reply | Ashby at 12:24 15 Dec 2024
Risking being contrarian again, I think Ashby is ‘fine’ for what we need from him. He’s pretty standard PL2 player who has been through 3 academies and the most taxing part of being a footballer was comparing sleeve tattoos with opposing strikers and discussing who’s G Wagon is whose in the car park. He’s now belatedly in his early 20s having to try and play some football and obviously it’s all moved a bit fast for him even at RB, let alone at LB which he obviously isn’t. Last season this role was being filled by Kakay though and Ashby is many multiples better than him and costing us nothing thanks to Jamie Reuben. As others have said, the bigger issue is the club bringing in a ‘development’ full back in Santos who Cifuentes within 30 minutes had decided was never a wing back as long as there was a ‘y’ in the day and so necessitated going out and getting another. At the same time the club very happily let all and sundry know that Paal wasn’t wanted anymore but then 1. Couldn’t fine anyone to take him and 2. Couldn’t get a new LB to replace him, so now we have a guy who Cifuentes was always critical of having to play whilst completely and irrevocably checked out.. |

Reading law 13 on free kicks, it doesn’t actually say it’s an offence to move the ball further away from goal. Grey area? |
| Forum Reply | Last night’s ref at 12:35 12 Dec 2024
One small point which I appreciate is not ultimately for the ref, Nardi was quite clearly out cold for a couple of seconds, the ref was first on the scene and so clearly knew he was out cold, yet the physio is allowed to come on, say the player who 30 seconds ago didn’t know which continent he is on was fine and he’s allowed to continue… |

Can’t even get tanked up on Charlie and make factual statements about Liverpool FC anymore. Games gone. |

No, I post it as I’m in the position to know it is a fact. Kolli’s dad talking about it publicly *should* be a pretty clear confirmation for you of the provenance of the fact, but obviously I respect that you have entrenched yourself in a contrarian position and Nourry publicly admitting it would fall on deaf ears for you. Nourry obviously didn’t get the job because he claims to have 11 years of experience. Hoos is not a total idiot, he knew full well that wasn’t true and Nourry was only a 26 year old recruitment consultant. Hoos however was desperate to step back, Nourry bullshits well and the clubs owners are absolutely not in a position to be doing any due diligence on people recommended to them for their vanity project. |

The club needs to sell him so of course he walks back in. Tricky one though as he is clearly the most talented player at the club but his need to slow everything down is at odds with how we have had our limited success under Cifuentes. |

Shane Warne would’ve proud of your spin here. Someone being given a CEO role based upon ‘11 years of experience in football’ becomes pretty damn important when they turn out to be a 26 year old recruitment consultant for him 10 of those 11 years were running a blog about football. It’s like Starmer making a graduate Chancellor of the Exchequer based on ‘21 years of finance experience’ watching people pay for items on a credit card. The attempt to fck Kolli off to Saudi Arabia is literally backed up publicly by Kolli’s dad. But as we have seen in your attempts to spin like Muttiah Muralitharan, Kolli’s dad will undoubtedly not be a genuine source in your eyes supporting what many of us have heard from people at the club. |

And the result on the pitch is that the kid who Nourry tried to fck off to Saudi Arabia dug us out of a huge hole yesterday with 2 goals….. |
