Name and Number on the New Kits - What is the Material This Year?
at 22:55 23 Jun 2014

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like they are plastic again (unless someone finds otherwise). The 1st year and Centenary year were Lextra/Sencilica, but maybe that cost too much. There is one place in Chicago that does them - maybe I'll order it blank and bring it to them.

It's a shame. I guess I get that they hold less water/sweat, but I really liked the felt feel. I know the NFL just switched from sewn on to plastic heat-pressed, saying it was higher quality, when in fact it was nothing more than giving them a way to pay less and sell it for more.

If anyone else has one, I'd love to hear more feedback.

Thank you!

...but that is my point - last year they weren't. I bought two from the team store and they were the cheap plastic. I wrote the "contact us" people and never got a reply.

The band is OK - I saw them here a few years back at a free concert.

The fact that I paid full price for plastic name and numbers? No, I didn't like that cheap trick one bit.

Name and Number on the New Kits - What is the Material This Year?
at 19:04 23 Jun 2014

I want to buy a new shirt for the season and I was wondering if anyone has bought one with name and number, and could tell me the material they are made out of. Is it that felt-y feeling Lextra, or the smooth plastic?

For the first time last year I got one from the team with that smooth plastic that feels like it is a Chinese knock-off. I don't mind paying for the Lextra, but won't if it's plastic. I have e-mailed the team store, but as is standard practice, I have not heard anything back.

So.... who has one, and what is the material.

Thank you!

Rob

PS - I'd go to the store and check for myself, but I live in Chicago.

Gay Laces at Crystal Palace this weekend
at 18:37 20 Sep 2013

#1, this is great - the league should show people that they are accepted.

#2, you may not want to state that "teams are allowing their gay players to wear Rainbow laces;" it sort of distorts the point of the article, which is clearly noted in the title - "Players urged to wear rainbow laces for anti-homophobia launch."

#3, thank you for posting this. It was a good read and I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

Europa Name & Numbers

I see the jerseys are on the site, but no image of what the names and numbers ill look like. It also appears to be missing the "Respect" patch. Has anyone bought one or see it in the store? I'd love feedback from someone who has seen it.

I e-mailed via the website and via FaceBook. I never thought to Tweet, but I might as well give it a shot.

Thanks for the help so far, keep it coming. :)

Europa Name & Numbers
at 18:41 11 Sep 2013

So I am here in the US, and e-mailing the team store is of no use, so I was hoping one of you could tell me - is the team going to have a special name and number set for the Europa games? Up until now, it looked like they were just all black, blacked out Premier League numbers, but now that the team is in the group stages, I was hoping they'd have something special (as most teams do). Actually, I was hoping to buy a new shirt with those Europa name/number fonts.

So, if anyone knows or has heard anything, please let me know. Once again I find myself trying to give money to the team only to be ignored! :)
