Great piece as always, Clive - with a spooky prediction to boot.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, really

Great piece as always, Clive. Very clear-sighted about the obstacles awaiting whoever comes in, sockless and gilet-wearing if they must. Although I hope it’s not him …

Great facts, Clive. Looking forward to seeing those appear on his Wikipedia page sometimes soon - probably uncredited, of course

Just adding another voice in support, Clive; I remain baffled why someone would write that sort of stuff and then post it. Pathetic inadequates.

Thanks Clive. It's great to see John Curtis's name again, always makes me smile, he was probably the worst player I've ever seen and yet he seemed so oblivious to his failings, cheerfully playing a game several beats behind everyone else

John Terry. Ashley Young. Clive, that's a low blow. I feel sick just imagining it.

Great piece, though.

Great piece of work, Clive. Watching that little clip of Clint being interviewed on the pitch at Wembley also shows his generosity, mentioning Zamora like that. Let's hope he does come back

For the first time in a LONG while that's made me feel positive about Rangers. The thought of someone there in such a position being competent is reassuring given all that's gone on. Thanks Clive.

The resiliency that is… - Guest column

Good piece but I'll take issue with you including Jamie Mackie on the list of must-be-shipped-out. I'm no Mackie fan, but he was never a big-time Charlie - his voice was too squeaky for that - and I'll forgive him anything for the glorious second goal at the Etihad, right up there as one of my favourite ever R's moments. I'm not saying I would have kept him - he wouldn't have got much game time with Matty P and Jr Hoilett in front of him anyway - but he was a tryer and I bet not disruptive in the dressing-room. Unlike the others on your list, which is spot-on.

A way to win - report

You know we were all waiting to see how you were going to wrote that game up Clive and of course you've turned in a vintage performance of your own. Fantastic stuff.

Whatever else happens over the next few weeks, I hope the club don't make the same mistakes around Clint Hill. If only because I love that photo of him, swigging from the bottle like he's been walking through a sweltering desert for the last few days. Would like to see him in the dugout next to HR next season.

Whatever else happens this summer, I hope we don't try and ditch Clint like they did before. If only because I love that photo of him swigging from the bottle like a man who's been walking through a sweltering desert for days.

QPR finally cut loose and demolish in-form Ipswich — report
at 23:56:29

Only seen the TV broadcast but Traore deserves some praise for the way he scored his goal. The ball was bouncing awkwardly but he worked hard to get his shot away.
Picked the wrong Jan away trip, going to Everton last weekend. Thanks for the report, Clive

QPR bid farewell to the ‘anti-footballer’
at 13:16:47

Great piece Clive as always. Derry's goal against Liverpool will always be a shining light in a weird season - his dignity against Ashley Young's frolics another one.

I sincerely wish him luck in his new role, as much as I continue to hope for a career-ending injury for Young. One day I hope he'll be back at Loftus Rd.
