Like I said, “almost all”. There are always exceptions so not such a load of nonsense. I’m only offering an opinion based on my professional and personal experience - this doesn’t necessarily make it right for all

Nog, I’m sorry to hear your experience wasn’t so positive. The exercises do sometimes initially cause increased pain as they aim to cause controlled inflammation to stimulate healing however, it certainly shouldn’t be as bad as you’ve said. It sounds like you’re in a pretty bad way and I’m sorry to hear that too. If your pain is that bad then you may need more than a chiropractor/osteopath/physio and may benefit from a discussion with your GP. I appreciate your GP may not be able to do much directly, but if there are other signs/symptoms then you may need further investigation and/or specialist opinion. I think you’ve made the right decision seeing the physio 1st as their often able to solve such issues, unfortunately if things are deteriorating then maybe more help is needed

The exercises are the treatment in almost all cases, I’ve recently seen the physio for my Achilles and the treatment is pretty much entirely exercise based - further follow up is a waste of my time as it will not add/change anything. When there is more going on then the physio will spot this and direct you accordingly. I’m a GP and have several letters a week from physio’s who have spotted something that would only be picked up with their specialist knowledge/skills. They occasionally recommend specialist scans when indicated and this can, in turn, speed up any diagnosis or potential referral process.

Try walk in physio in Morriston or Singleton first (8:30am - 10am). No appointment or referral needed and no cost to you (other than time). Physio proven to help with such problems too
