Last week LW said that we were nowhere near good enough to get close to the top 6. This week he says that we lost to the better side, bottom of the league Hull City. He looked lost for words in his interview for the official site. He’s wayyy out of his depth. We may have a poor squad but the story was written as soon as he picked Fulton & Grimes in the starting eleven. Clueless. |

I would ask what are the odds on job swap with Gary O’Neil in the manager merry-go-round but it would probably impact severance payments too much |

Think your memory is a bit misty on this one. Clement dug us out of the hole that Bradley put us in (bottom of the league). We got to safety up at Sunderland with 1 or 2 games to spare in his first season. We escaped that season primarily due to Sigurdsson & Llorente. The following close season the Yanks sold Sigurdsson in the transfer window & Llorente on deadline day. The sale so late on without ready made replacements identified was due to a lack of vision overseen by Levein, Kaplan & Jenkins. Clement would have had very little input in to paying £17m for Clucas or bringing back Bony. He was no doubt behind bringing in Sanches & Abraham from his Chelsea & Bayern links. As weak as Clement may be perceived to be by you he was badly let down by the late sales & poor recruitment overseen by the ownership, Jenkins included |

Any talk of play offs is misguided. For once I agree with the coach we are miles off it. We haven’t won more than 2 games in a row & lost every game to the top 7. Anything more than 7 points from the next 4 games would be a surprise to say the least. Thankfully the gap to the bottom 3 is going in the right direction (slowly) |

I would imagine Obafemi’s highlight reel on YouTube will be primarily filled with his highlights in a Swans jersey - what a waste - totally down to his own attitude. Many will point at his agent but at the end of the day he needs to look in the mirror for his failures [Post edited 13 Dec 18:59]

Working for an oil company out there is very different to being an independent traveller - totally different experiences - been there, done it. Should be ok with a bunch of football fans, just don’t stray off the straight & narrow would be my advice & a good memorable time can be had |

Could have been worse, could have been a bit easier (see England … again!!) |

That gets me too. Could be worse though in the last rugby World Cup ball was in play on average 33minutes out of 80 |

The only thing we can do is refuse to pay to watch it on tv … I gave up paying a long time ago. These types of tournaments only really get interesting in the ko stages for the neutrals. Saturation point has been reached for many [Post edited 6 Dec 11:12]

It was refreshing to see Man City being dominated for a change. I’d be happy with either Liverpool or Arsenal taking the title. Two good footballing sides - Arne Slot conducts himself well though I don’t think I’ve seen him do an interview after losing yet - both Pep & Arteta are pretty unbearable when they lose [Post edited 2 Dec 18:37]

The way we were playing until recently is certainly a significant factor for many. However many of the empty swathes of seats are in the south stand which was designated as the family stand. It should be of concern to those in charge as those missing kids are the future of the clubs fan base. We need a good run to get some backsides back on seats over the festive season - winning football will get people back, it’s the feel good factor & atmosphere of knowing your team is going to be competitive & favourites to win home matches that gets people in the ground |

The defence has certainly improved. One of the main reasons is that we have not suffered too many injuries & have been able to field a fairly well settled defence. The coach does not have to play sub-standard loan players like last season (Ashby & Humphreys). The way our full backs play is down to the coach’s tactics. The lack of creativity elsewhere in the side means that on many occasions our full backs have been the best sources for getting in position to cross the ball. Unfortunately they do get caught out of position too frequently. |

Two decent performances, Burnley & Leeds, zero points. Tonight was all about the result. Lucky to hold out but well done to lads & supporters who travelled. We know we can play just need to put in some consistent performances & we can start looking upwards. Thank heavens Jerry couldn’t play tonight |

You have to question the tactics of playing such a high line against a side who thrive on counterattacking & pace. Predictable outcome, suicidal defending. The lack of pace was evident last season & exploited by the top sides in the division as it was yesterday |
