Thank you for posting that lovely article another great example of pride in pulling on the national jersey and the family behind every player. Jimmy could be the odd man out for ROI but at least he is being noticed and got on the field and hopefully stays healthy and features in the June friendlies to try and stamp his spot . Most of the stories are behind paywalls on the Independent but that headline caught my eye .Miss Scotland stripped of her title after being convicted of assault and racially abusing a security guard WTF is going on in her head . |

I suspect Harry will throw in the towel after the next World Cup so that would be a massive loss for England. Eze is going to have to be patient because while he is an excellent playmaker Palmer while healthy will always be picked ahead of him. Foden went from POY last year to very average this year with City and England and Grealish has wasted 2 years of his career at City IMO It all comes down to the Group draws at the WC and who can handle the opressive summer heat and humidity of Mexico and USA not sure how hot Canada gets |

A lot more cash if he got on the end of one of those corners and buired one but it was lovely to see him run on and get a few touches. He seemed a bit frustrated they were not finding him on the right side .The refs was a bit suspect over the 2 legs letting Bulgaria away with a lot of savage challenges while booking Ireland for simple stuff. I am a lot happier with the chance ROI will be at the World Cup if we can keep those players healthy, bring back the few injured ones and hope Ronaldo is past his sell by date . Finn Azaz was hard to handle for QPR a few weeks back I can see why he has a lot of skill that lad |

I think they were pulling our leg about Paal unless its the most disappointing player award he would win that easily IMO. Nardi is a brilliant shot stopper but has major issues controlling the box which has really hurt us hopefully that can be coached out of/ into him . Jimmy Dunne is very popular and almost caused LFW to implode when he was being chased by Wilder . He is QPR through and through right now clear player of the season. Of course someone could catch fire and score 10 goals yet |

Horrible news to start the weekend I was hoping he would be home and recovering by now life is cruel sometimes.RIP incredible QPR supporter hope you are at peace .Condolences to his family and friends . |

No quiet dodgy ,I talked to my Sheffield Wednesday friend on Friday and he said both sets of fans despise each other so there is bad blood there .Not to the Rangers-Celtic bitterness bloodshed but not friendly by any stretch of the imagination. He also confirmed what Clive mentioned last week that SW excellent manager is basically packing for Southampton according to his season ticket holder friends |

Nobody can question his heart but he came back way too soon from that injury to help our cause and thats to be admired.Plus he is our top scorer in the last 2 games dont forget that little nuggett . I would bring him back for experience alone plus he is like a manager on the field IMO |

Its just his usual b.s from all our free kicks, corners and throw ins we just are pretty useless this season.Anderson floats one across their box 30 seconds later we are desperatly defending our penalty area its business as usual sadly. Dembelle tries to score from our corner then when the ball comes straight back to him he dicks around trying fancy stepovers instead of whipping it back in to the danger zone and gets stripped. Saito gets a lot of punishment but that lunge at the calf was very dangerous I think it will not be overturned. Lets take the point Leeds had a few dangerous chances late it would have been pretty cruel to get nothing |

Struijk the guy who scored two late winners in back to back games a few weeks ago is some sub to have waiting to spring on its just not a fair fight . Any chance of a Bamford sighting or is he out it might be for the best he would not get warm hugs from our supporters. Cant decide if we gill get crushed or show some pride in the jersey and put in a great performance |

Are you sure about Meslier I thought he was one of the best keepers around and still cannot figure out how he was not bought by a top club.Maybe he has fallen off this year but he was incredible when they were promoted and kept them from getting hammered multiple times Same story for us we HAVE to score first then double the lead if we fall behind again it could be ugly |

I just checked out the squad available and compared to the English group its shocking way worse than the gap between QPR and Leeds SW etc. That midfield for Ireland is so poor we are going nowhere fast and with 2 players scoring for Celtic and some club in Holland there is less goals than QPR score I fear. Jimmy Dunne is a fantastic player for us but he wont break in here I suspect and Armstrong is just a bull in a china shop there to unleash chaos not put the ball in the net The dream of watching ROI play in the World Cup next year over here is just a bridge too far right now I fear that squad is not good enough |

We must be the easiest team in the championship to scout because we have given up that first goal in the exact situation multiple times this season its embarassing at this stage . Once teams beat us to the endline they just whip it low across (away from Nardi ) and there is always someone there to slide it home time after time. Contrast that with our crosses even when we beat defenders they are too high, too long, too hard or in Paul Smyth's case out of play before it even gets to the attackers . Did I mention our corners which Paal has placed so beautifully into the keepers gloves (unchallenged of course )so many times this season he should get an award Its just like the bad old days here again we need the same magic against Leeds this weekend we had last April |

Excellent post espiceally the Dunne and Paal section. Jimmy got done again like multiple times for their first goal and Paal was horrible in all 3 areas ( defense, corners and point blank critical miss) as he has been all season. Not offloading him last Summer was the start of this incredible disapointing season and there wont be many takers now I fear Marti can say what he wants but his players keep falling behind then losing a second goal then trying in vain to get a draw we are not good enough across the board |

After watching Dunne take our throw in which resulted in another fast break and almost a goal for Boro (one of his biggest issues which happens multiple times this season) I cannot blame him . How many times have we been beaten to the endline followed by a perfect cross and tap in goal this year its like groundhog day over and over again. We had some crosses into the box trying for the head of Dembele and Smyth that they would not reach if they were jumping on a trampoline its was comical really. Saito while trying had a horrible game and looked totally lost as the game wore on. I mentioned it on another thread but Edwards lost the ball badly once yet dangerous spot yet sprinted around and found a way to disrupt the play and win it back we need that from all 11 players not just our loan guy (superb player btw) We are our usual 6 or 7 game losing streak but its our second one this season so much for season of hope and dreams under Marti and Co. |

Same old story self destruct to fall behind by 2 goals then score to give us false hope but still lose .Also commit stupid fouls when we are desperate allowing the other team to burn more time and eventually the clock runs out . Leeds will hammer us I fear they need the points and are still smarting from last years beat down at LR . No fun at QPR right now we are sick of losing streaks which appear twice a year now |
 | Forum Reply | The Boro Match thread. at 20:45 11 Mar 2025
Class player ,superb block on a dangerous shot and best of all when he lost the ball he sprinted around and won it back himself .He must be so frustrated to have Paal ahead of him that guy makes Edwards job so much harder |
 | Forum Reply | The Boro Match thread. at 20:41 11 Mar 2025
Sad fact its not his job but he can't do any job on the field. Bad defender, horrible corner taker and any ball slid into the corner and we are tied. Yang is worse ,caused the goal and almost a second he should be benched along with Paal and Chair IMO. So frustrating watching us self destruct its hard to see how Boro only have 1 goal it wont take long for the second I suspect |

Manchester City V BM in Lambeau Field WS when Haaland played and scored his first goal for City was the high watermark .Pity there was 2 lightining storms and the halfs were only 30 minutes to avoid more weather. Last year City were over again ,sold out the 3 games then announced any players who were in the Euros or Copa America would not travel so it became Haaland a few others and young players what a joke really. Buyers beware |

What I cannot figure out is why we did not get more strikers in this january knowing we were one injury away from having nobody up top really . Were they expecting our other attacking players to suddenly start scoring after not doing it since August its really killing us this losing streak.Alfie is all fire and energy which helps when we are leading and stretching teams but when we are losing I think he cannot deliver right now. Once we fall behind by 1 not to mention 2 we are simply not clinical enough to even get a draw and Alfie is getting taken care of by big nasty experienced defenders without much protection . League 1 is his landing spot |
