Well done Ralph and the boys

Mr Micropenis I_would won't be happy... but for the rest of us, a terrific result and a very good team performance. FF had nothing to do! You get the feeling there's a terrific team spirit between Ralph & the team, and long may that continue.

KWP just shaded MOTM for me. He never stopped running and caused Everton problems all afternoon. Special mention for Romeu too who was so solid all game.

Well played Saints. I do love a Saturday when Saints win!

Another solid team performance and a comfortable 3 points. Cracking goal from Stuey to break the deadlock but we missed chances to put the game to bed earlier. Broja chose to shoot a couple of times when simple passes would have probably provided goals for others. The substitution paid off immediately and great to see Long put his header away superbly. KWP my man of the match with a wonderful all round performance at left back with Oriel an excellent 2nd place with a masterful performance in midfield. We are on an excellent run of form at the moment, long may it continue.

Shane Long - what a great example to the young lads. Hasn't been a regular for a few seasons now but has kept fit and match ready - long been one of my favourite players for his selflessness and workrate and so happy that he scored the goal to put this game to bed.

Well done Ralph, well done the team - our faith and patience has been tested over the last few seasons but we're now looking like a proper 'team' again.

Get in there! Other than for a sloppy opening 10 mins, it was all good for Saints. What a difference it makes to have Stu Armstrong healthy and starting. Everyone put in a shift today, though Forster had nothing to do! Stand outs were Romeu (a beast in center midfield) and KWP. If one had to be critical, Broja and Adams were off at times in their decision making and the link up play was lacking. Ideally then we should have scored more, but we did not need that today as Everton were dross!

Great team performance again once the first 10 mins of each half were out of the way. It was almost as if Saints had trouble adapting to the fact that Everton forced them to attack the Chapel end in the first half.

Saints won this through a dominant midfield display. Romeu was immense both in breaking up Everton attacks and starting our own. That enabled Armstrong the freedom to operate behind the front two to great effect.

A good, well-deserved win, which should have been bigger than 2-0. Everyone played well. Again.
I agree with Dean Hammond that it was probably Bednareks best game in a Saints shirt, because he read the game so well, placed himself so brilliantly and won so many duels / intercepted so many balls. Stuey shows again how important he is and I'm delighted for Shane Long getting a(nother) personal record , scoring with his first touch and joining a quite small group of players who have done so in the PL. And what a header.
Congrat's with another fine result to everyone involved with/supporting Saints.

Don’t get why the ref ratings are soo low, he was actually really decent today and wasn’t the usual sort of one that blows for anything, and realises that footballs a contact sport

Solid confident performance throughout both the 90 minutes and the team.

KWP was MOTM for me, tireless in defence and attack. Crazy that Perraud can't get in the team. Richarlison Tool of the match. Armstrong again showed why he should always be in the team. In the second half he made several runs to create great chances.

Shane Long impact sub again and the post goal chest bumps in front of the crowd showed the team spirit that Ralph has built.

After a dodgy spell in late autumn we have really come good.

Can't wait for the next game.

Very impressive win. Solid throughout. Some great performances. Armstrong and Romeu were superb in particular. Played in a well organised and team orientated way with flair as well

Elijah K.
The ref did have a good game, except that he let a couple of blatant Everton dives go unpunished.
So i docked him a point.

Saints are looking an exciting and all-round assured team presently - long may it continue. Romeu, JWP masterful in the centre of midfield. Armstrong probably played his best game so far this season and seemed to have learnt from wasting too many opportunities against Utd last week by targeting the minutest of spaces to score after a another great Saints move. KWP was a constant threat down the left and Adams and Broja caused no end of trouble allowing our attacking midfield to fill the spaces and create the chances. The defence was solid but didn't really have much to do. Pickford was Their best player and that really illustrates Saints dominance of the game. To see Longy pop up and score a superbly timed and placed header sealed a determinedly confident contest.

Messy game affected by the wind but satisfactory result without really needing to lift our game too much.
They started faster and pushed us back, playing direct and using the wind to their advantage. Everything aimed at Richarlison and Calvert Lewin but without any real threat, Salisu and Bednarek holding firm. Once we got into our stride and particularly the second half there was never any doubt who would win. I expected a tougher game than this and if they can't produce better they may well drop and to see Longy score against them was a great moment for us all!

I gave the ref 8 points, but yes...., he should have punished the infamous blond haired, diving black guy with the huge nose and the attitude of a dissatisfied teenager - Richildlison - who always acts like he's been shot in even the slightest dual where he doesn't win the ball. He makes me absolutely sick every time I watch him play.

For the people going on about the simulation from Richarlison and other Everton players and why they weren’t booked, it’s simply because refs just shout play on when a player goes down easy in a non attacking area, but when it’s in the box and such, if there’s proper contact on the player (irrelevant of whether that contacts a debatable foul or not) then a player has a fair reason/excuse for going down, so you only really book players for simulation when it’s a clear dive with no contact, or there’s minimum (and when I say minimum, I mean not enough force to knock over some 6 year old kid) force and they’ve got no other reason to go down (as in they weren’t off balanced/slipping up or such), as well as them having to actually appeal it (as a player may have slipped up/bean family tackled but fallen over, but if they don’t contest it as a foul then it’s definitely not simulation), as when they do all that, then yeah they should be booked, but if just 1 of those reasons aren’t followed, then you don’t really give a yellow.
So it’s all well and good criticising refs for not booking players that dive, but there’s quite a bit that have to be checked/fulfilled for it to be a fair booking, as well as the ref clearly seeing all of this.
