If I had bumped into George Donnelly tonight I would have said the following.
"Well played George. You did everything Keith Hill wanted you to do towards the end of last season in a local derby when we were down to ten men in the first half"
"You chased, you harried, you ran yourself into the ground, you fulfilled your role in a whole team as best as you could and I was glad that you got a full 3 Stand standing applause because you deserved it"

agree with all of that. My only concern was his spat with Roberts down by the corner flag. Had Roberts been the cynical type, Donnelly could easily have been sent off. |  | | |
