1-0 Up on comes Ferdinand... on 17:29 - Nov 24 with 2322 views | QPR_Nippon | Is this news to anyone? Traore has an injury which frequently means he has to get pulled off after 60 minutes. Meanwhile at the same time United can bring on Hernandes thus having four forwards (the other 3 being Rooney, van Persie and Welbeck) on the pitch, now against a centre-half pairing with 70 years between them behind a midfield partnership Derry (another mid 30 something) and Faurlin still recovering from a long term injury and having played about 3 full games in 20 months, Was what happened really a surprise to anyone?!! No no it was all Anton' s fault. Get real FFS!!!

How dare you put the blame on the absolute stalwarts that put us in the position prior to the useless c@nts arrival. Who else lost their man for the 1st 2 goals then?

No, it was Bowens fault, where is Max Ehmer in this equation. Bowen brought him on under pressure of being part of the Utd get together statute thing and, more importantly, he wanted to stand by MH and slag us off, sad man.

well, I think you can put the blame very close to Ferdinand..it was his man that won 2 headers in the box from corners,,..one where Ferdinand didn't even bother jumping.. If you watch the first 2 goals we concede, its hard not to conclude that it was almost entirely due to Ferdinand getting beaten twice at bread and butter center back tasks..

Correct! Ferguson knew an extra burst of youth and pace and we'd blow up, actually the dead ball problems did for us as usual...good performance for 60 minutes....there could have been a different outcome....but Bowen couldn't see, for whatever reason, the alternatives. Ferdinand was the worst possible solution as there has not been a game that Bowen's seen where Anton has even got close to defending a dead ball! Traore off, Dyer to full back, Granero for Faulin, Diakite for Derry at least gives us a chance....slim but a chance....

This is it in a nutshell. Some players are above criticism so you just leap on a convenient scapegoat. Nelsen and Hill were great for 60 minutes, no argument. But Nelsen lost Evans for the first goal and for the 2nd Fletcher always had an adavantage over Ferdinand - it was a superb corner and he had the advantage of the running jump. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It looked like a foul on Mbia that led to the corner for their first, then nelson lost the scorer at the far post aswell. not sure who was covering for their third but hernandez given far too much room in the centre of the penalty area.

Team was stretched for the third, certainly not the defence's fault. Chasing the game, Anderson got tons of room in midfield to set it up.

Well I have looked at both goals again in slow-mo and really don't think there was an awful lot more he could have done apart from timing his jump a little better. They were both superb corners from Rooney and in both cases the men Ferdinand was marking were better placed to win the header - due more to the quality of the delivery than poor positioning on Ferdinand's part. I think the criticism is over the top but not remotely surprising as AF is everyone's favourite boo-boy at the moment.

i did notice the goals rained in when anton came on, but we expected to lose but having played so well...that chokes a bit. the team had a go, our fans there could be heard..we rattled a top euro team and for me shows how unhappy the team were under "sparky" ..he can't be called that cos of his "sparkling" humour!
