Well Daggers grew up on Merseyside, playing for Tranmere and probably supporting Liverpool or Everton. He spent a couple of years here scoring goals. Why on earth should that make him care about the club?
If it was the other way round and I'd gone and scored some goals for Tranmere, it wouldn't make me give a toss about the club, I'd be playing well for my own future and prospects, not for Tranmere Rovers. Same with Daggers and most players.

Actually you're wrong. Dagnall very much loved this club, one for the support shown to him through 2 back to back serious injuries and just the success he had, remember sky running a story, where dagnall was talking about the club and how he convinced Bobby Grant to move to us.
As it happens, I couldn't find the article, but i did however find this on Scunthorpes site, where the same sentiment is shown where dagnall says 'he loves the club', 'gutted to move on' and only moved to play championship football.

Have absolutley no issue with daggers, was a great player in his time, but that has been and gone, would have welcomed him back with open arms, but it hasnt materialised and we'll just kick on with what we have. |  |

Completely agree. Anyone who thinks Dagnall didn't care about the club needs to be paired up with those who think Hill would block any move to Rochdale. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
