@Not_Keith_Hill

Barnsley FC manager. Avid fan of Bounty Bars and farmers jackets. Clean sheets are king. Parody account, views are not those of Keith Hill or Barnsley FC.

There you go, i think you have got your answer right there.

I know it only probably means that someone has had a fiver on Hilly but he's now appeared in the betting, you can get him at 25/1.

With him being an avid Man Utd fan the prospect of taking over at Leeds Utd might not be so appealing to him!

Apart from a handful of numpties who wouldnt be happy even if Messi and Mourinho showed up, the fans (vast majority) already believe we have the best management there is for the job that needs doing.
Perkins was singled out early on, unfairly, but again, if you ask most fans, he'd win POTY.
Wisey just looks 5% better each time you see him. Clearly a lad that gains and flourishes with experience at this level. By the start of next season, he'll be the best full back in the division. And, my favourite player, the legend that is Sir Bobby Hassell, is our right back, and has been for 7 years. And despite Wisey's increasing form, I would never contemplate picking him ahead of Bobby. BUT, for the first time so far, Id leave Wisey at right back. I think Bobby is a great role model for him.
Matty Done is simply unplayable when he's on it. And last night he was certainly on it. Pace to burn, blessed control, and works hard covering the full back.
He's blown very hot, and ice cold thus far, but maybe now that Vaz Te has returned to 'ghost player' territory, Matty D is stepping up.
But for me, the best bit of business from the lower leagues would have to be Jimmy McNulty. The ultimate broken toy. And boy have Hillcroft fixed him. He's like a 2nd tier Bobby Moore. Awesome player, and such a sound lad that is just grateful to be here.
Looking forward to seeing Stephen Dawson too. Heard very good things about him, and with the loans of the truly amazing Korey Smith, and the classy Michael Tonge, the losses of Drinkwater and Butterfield shouldnt be too significant.
When Keith arrived, he was snubbed by Jason Shackell who didnt fancy a relegation battle, and joined the huge club (apparently) in Derby.
Well, good ol Greedy Jase got mugged off all night by Hillcroft's lower league relegation battlers.
6 points off the playoffs.
15 clear of relegation.
A comfy mid-table finish would be a 10/10 achievement. Lets hope Keith and Flicker stick around, because we could have a proper tilt at the top 6 next season...
Dirty Leeds - please God no

I think now we have our Managerial problem solved it seems - with a good version of Hill mk2 - I just hope we can get enough points to stay up. If we go down Im sure Hillcroft will be as gutted as any Dale fan that all their 5 years hard work wouldve been undone in 6 months. Its quite hard reading your praise for the players Hilly has brought to Barnsley knowing that a good few of them would most probably be playing for us now and very likely doing well in the top half of this division. Anyway - no point in being bitter about it - like I said now weve got Coleman here and looking at the players stunning response in last Saturdays 3-0 trouncing of bury, hopefully we can build now and start getting some vital wins on the board to steer us to safety. He's already brought in a couple of cracking players in Kevin Long from Burnley and Michael Symes from Bournemouth and his record in the past for spotting young talent is very good so its looking more positive already- we just need to stay up at all costs.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Haha, am sorry for being honest about our Daley contingent mate, but you did ask! ;)
No, seriously, am sure deep down that most of you would prefer to hear what I tell you, rather than slating your heroes.
Remember, from 94 to 98 we had our own messiah in Danny Wilson, who then trotted off to piglets of Sheff Wendy. And yes, we were angry, hurt and very bitter. But after reflection, you move on and cherish the awesome times they gave you. And by the time he was sacked by the Wendies, I had sympathy for him.
And when I saw the hate-filled protests outside Bumhole Lane when he went to the Blunts last summer, I again had sympathy for him. I went on their board and told em that if we could forgive him for walking out on us, I am sure they could forgive him for being an ex Wendy... they didnt want to know. They wanted Keith Hill...
Give him time, he's the perfect appointment I told em. And now look, they love what he's done.
Football doesnt do loyalty, not like it used to do anyway. But universal backing and support, an understanding and acceptance of where your club is at, these are key things in a fan/clubs happiness.
But the vultures, the big boys are always circling.
Say Coleman keeps you up (he will), and next year you make the playoffs, you can guarantee those vultures will swoop. And yes, we are a vulture I suppose, due to our league status, but we could so easily be a league 1 or 2 club, on 4000 gates - we have been there before. But we have spent more years in tier 2 than anybody, ever. And that for us is our 'major trophy' along with the 1912 FA Cup of course.
Its all about perspective, and relativity. And Dale, you are already doing amazing, to be in league 1.. dont forget that, dont whinge and moan, get behind your great club and keep fighting the good fight :)
.
And I agree, Kev Long is a great bit of recruitment, and Symes is a decent link man. I remember him breaking through at Everton years ago, but he seems to have got lost along the way.
I dunno if Bogbrush is still at Dale, but if he is, tell him to pull his finger out, lazy arse.. lol
UP THE REDS,
UP THE DALE,
NEVER FAIL.. or sumat

Hilly's odds are as low as 10-1 now and he's seen as being 4th favourite. Whether he's a big enough name for them, or whether he'd fancy working under Uncle Ken, there;s not a better job for him out there.

No matter what wonders he can do at Barnsley, it's unlikely (but not impossible) that a club from the Premiership would come in for him. Even Owen Coyle had to have a few months in the top flight with Burnley before being given another opportunity at a bigger club, and even then the step up wasn't massive.

With Leeds, they are a big enough club for him to take up and maintain in the top flight, and there's not many of those around in the Championship who you could say could be self sufficient in the Premiership.
