The 'please not mark Hughes' thread 18:48 - Jan 8 with 6319 views | sevenhoop | As a 44 year season ticket holder I've seen most things but this sacking is an absolute outrage. Warnock's paying for the miracle of taking a poor team up and then having been shafted the whole pre season by briatore. Anyway other threads dealing with that. But please Mark Hughes. Miserable, sour faced cheating bastard and I have in good authority could not be bothered to turn up for much of Fulham's training sessions. Please not him. Crap football will follow with none of the spirit engendered by Warnock. I'm stunned and gutted. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Not many who saw his Blackburn side in action would have credited them with a 'good football style' | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The 'please not mark Hughes' thread on 19:06 - Jan 8 with 3631 views | gazza1 | It is a results game....we aint getting results & the performances have been average to say the least. NW sacked, on the cards. Hughes should be able to keep us up in the Premiership & I am sure the new Manager has already been sorted. We need players quickly so I am confident we will get our man very soon.

Warnock will always get our thanks and respect for what he's done for our club. I think his statement shows that although he's gutted, he realised that he was out of his depth. He seems to have taken it on the chin and will remain on good terms. We were in freefall and yesterday's result was the final nail. Something has to change. A new manager has transformed Sunderlands season... let's hope the same for us!! Curbishly or Hughes

He signed Samba didn't he? Quite an interesting angle on all this. Don't see how Curbishley is an improvement on Warnock, the guy has always struck me as something of a pathetic creature, not sure why.

THANK YOU Northern. He has a great great record at clubs like ours, would be a brilliant appointment. Everybody want us to sign Samba - and i know i've said it a billion times now - Hughes bought Samba for 500K!
