Good win. Well done to the players improving goal difference ahead of the forthcoming fixtures this week.

Also BJ managed the substitutions and resources well without any new obvious injuries and it looks as if the squad is strengthening with EEL and Burger back.

Any further news on Gordon or Rodney?

Both out for a while: https://rochdaleafc.co.uk/injuryupdate040324/

Excellent win, could have scored more and we’ll be annoyed at the manner of their goal. Still, although Wealdstone were limited it was a good performance with the front three all contributing. Henderson’s ability to leave his position at will created all sort of issues and he’s got a big part to play in the remaining weeks.

Hogan’s MotM was well deserved, he’s been getting better game by game recently and with Beckwith back at his best and Kingdon stepping into Gordon’s shoes immaculately, we continue to look good at the back. A midfield recruit wouldn’t go amiss mind.

Didn’t watch today’s game, but thought both Kingdon and Hogan were exceptional midweek. Well done to both.

A great result. First half was a bit of a non event outside of Tobi's goal. They were very limited and relied on long balls down the channels, which we dealt with well. We were much better in the second half and bothe Henderson and Barlow's goals were excellent in their own right.

Didn't have a great view of it but thought we dodged a bullet when Hogan bought their man down on the stroke of halftime, looked a pen to me.

No chance. Whether it was because Hogan was on a card and the forward wanted a pen and yellow/red card but there was no need for him to go down like that. Just shoot! Hogan didn't challenge him - just ran alongside and the next thing he's on the deck. The ref didn't get everything right but he was bang on with that one.

As well as Liam Hogan (and Kingdon and Beckwith) played at the back, I'd have given MOTM to Aidy Barlow, who was always willing and busy, and took his goal well. Having said that, nobody played badly in an excellent team performance.

Thought it was a pen too, which if scored would have made it 1-1 at half-time and a different second half.

With it being 1-0 Wealdstone attacked a bit in the second half, so much so in fact that Waller got to handle the ball and go route 1, to Hendo for the game decider. Had it been 1-1 we would most likely have spent the second half camped around their box once more.

This was the patten for pretty much the first half, and without wanting to sound negative after a 4-1 win, the lack of creativity/killer pass/movement or whatever is deemed needed to sneak through in this scenario was missing once again.

That aside a good performance and results gone our way a good bit.

From where I was it was never a pen, Hogan who looked class and very calming again ended up with their lad on top of him, thought the ref was terrible for lots of decisions throughout, not sure how some thought the ref let lots go, there was a spell where he seemed to blow up and literally gave everything to the opposition, even Jim was screaming at him.

Goals change games as we all know and the finish by Barlow and Hendo both class but the through ball to create again game changing, really like the look of Barlow hes something a bit special, it really works when there's someone higher up who can not only hold the ball up but it also give time for the midfield to get much higher up the pitch, although not much to do yesterday Waller gives the team a great base to work from.

Keep it coming Jim, credit where it's due

Agree with that. We saw the opposite of tiredness yesterday and it's great that McNulty is utilising his squad, i know it's been forced on him in respect of recent injuries but all of a sudden there seems to be a freshness about us. Great things can be achieved over the next couple of months, the squad in effect had a mid winter break so maybe it's the opposition who are succumbing to tiredness now, especially those with smaller squads and part time footballers such as Weadstone.

I thought it was a penalty but not complaining.

Bit of luck and 4 very nice finishes for the goals.

Just keep going now… more of the same please… just keep winning.

Having a fit and fresh Hendo to deploy during the remaining games could be huge

If that was the plan all along, to save his 40yo legs for the "business end" (perhaps in collaboration with him) then it could - if we reach Wembley and the playoffs - go down as a masterstroke

It would otherwise be seen as a waste, but i'm feeling positive that JM may have stumbled on a consistent formula to win games, at long last

Talking of Henderson, yesterday's goal means he has now scored past 100 different goalkeepers in his Dale career.

I think Dale can go forward to both games without any trepidation.......we are playing really good stuff right now with both Alty and Oldham (haven't won in six) faltering.

Oddly enough, i was wondering yesterday how many teams Hendo had scored against...

But you had the stat on number of keepers too!

It was another dominant performance yesterday, with Wealdstone largely limited to launching long balls for Alex Reid to chase. From the first half, it was clear that a second goal would likely fold them, and that’s exactly how it played out.

Sure, there were a couple of moments where we might have been quicker to pull the trigger, but our attacking intent was fantastic. We consistently created chaos around their box, which kept their defence under constant pressure, preventing Wealdstone from finding any rhythm.

The starting front three were excellent, as were TAR and Allarakhia on the flanks. East and Gilmour were solid in midfield, and the back three looked assured despite Gordon’s absence. EEL’s return gives even more options moving forward.

The only real blemish was the goal Wealdstone scored — a too-easy back-stick header from a routine free-kick. That said, because we made the most of our attacking play, it didn’t cost us in the slightest.

And that goal from Hendo. He served better chips than you can get on Wilbutts Lane. Sublime.

Overall, a fantastic afternoon of entertainment in the sunshine, with three points and a welcome boost to our goal difference.
