Williams out Williams in and to west brom. 00:06 - Jan 3 with 1995 views | Swans9 | Mad for me he done amazing for us. Saying two home games was make or break. Then west brom link social media on over drive. In a mad crazy world needing information asap. We have had a good season one man treasure is another man rubbish. Be careful what we ask for next manager might not be so successful.
Williams out Williams in and to west brom. on 00:26 - Jan 3 with 1725 views | KeithHaynes | In my whole life on writing football stuff and that’s a bloody long time I’ve never ever witnessed a manager act as Luke has this week. Not in the open. He reaches fifty games at Swansea on Saturday, and the bare facts are he has only won eighteen. If his legacy is Portsmouth then so be it, if he gets a bit of time then that’s the clubs decision, but I’m pretty certain he is on very thin ice, and as I stated earlier he will go.

Which is a decent, commendable record when you consider that we were in 18th place in the division when he was appointed. And a win in his next match makes it a 38% win ratio. Not too shabby when we consider where our club stands. He’s done quite well. Of course he could have handled things differently ( West Brom connection ) but he’s on a ( steepish )learning curve himself. There no loyalty in football any more, that’s if there ever was.

"There no loyalty in football any more, that’s if there ever was." He rubs me up the wrong way but Jamie Vardy proves there are still individuals who can show loyalty. Yes it's rare, but it still exists and even more so in the lower leagues. I have absolutely no issues with any player/coach/manager leaving having fulfilled the expiry of their contract (I.e. as it appears Darling will do this summer). Both parties (club and player) have fulfilled their end of the agreement. What I very much dislike is when personnel try to manufacture a move away mid-contract because they think the grass is greener on the other side. If you're doing a good job, and someone has interest in you, let them speak to the club first... Agree a fee or financial compensation in principle before allowing interested party to speak to contracted employee. Don't disrespect the fans and cause unrest in the changing room by leaving an open door for clubs to "speak to my agent". Show some self respect and say, "I'm fully committed to Swansea" then if the correct process is followed write a goodbye letter to the fans apologising but explaining the offer was too good to turn down. We'll accept that, it's the nature of the game, but telling potential suitors "I'm open to offers" in post match interviews is not acceptable.

Lord 38% is what now? Think of being in a job as a heart surgeon and saying to the health board. 38% of my patients are ok…. Seriously bro if that was the stats from our first year back in the prem fair enough. But by now most of us want the winning feeling back. Remember our Scott Sinclair year? When we would pump teams they scored 4 we would score 5? Luke sees us like little notts county he can leave now. Or shall I find his agents number to tell him GTFO! 😡

the esteemed Russell Martin had a 35% win record in his first season here ,and only 39% in his second yet there was an outcry when he went.....mainly because of his 100% record v Cardiff.

Is heart surgery a competitive sport in the Rhondda then? 38% is about right for a mid table team.
Williams out Williams in and to west brom. on 09:36 - Jan 3 with 1038 views | mangohilljack | It’s time to move on. He had every opportunity to address the rumours and put them to rest once and for all, yet he chose not to. Instead, he fuelled the speculation. Now that the Baggies have confirmed they are not interested, there’s nothing more to discuss. Thank you, LW, for your efforts. Wishing you the best—goodbye.

I'm not defending Martin but recent coaches have to be judged on the backing received from the owners. This season has been particularly bad. As was the position when we had parachute payments, a little more ambition and we would have gone up. We have been a buy cheap and sell high club since relegation and have not done it well.

I have been prepared to accept Williams up until now, I believe that he has done a decent job considering the terrible window we had in the summer. My opinion changed completely with the come and get me quote and the lack of any retraction. As far as I am concerned he is finished here and will vent my feelings tomorrow, if he is still here. I have always backed our coaches, Bradley and now Williams are the exception. You could also throw in Cooper after the Wembley debacle.

Are you saying Martin wasn't backed? Patterson,Downes,Ethan Laird his choices in first season along with Natchm Piroe then Sorinola Fisher and Darling.... Yes he had nothing in his last January but so did many other Championship clubs....plus if you ask for something I must have then discard it early it's not ofrwn you get to be given something so easily again. Let's remember he benched Fisher and Darling

I said I'm not defending Martin and went on to say the last (summer 24) window was poor, as was the lack of ambition when we were relegated. In-between we have been a buy cheap sell high club with many mistakes.

I’m in exactly the same boat. I think he’s done a good job given the squad depth, but those comments were inexcusable. He’s got to go. I hope Coleman and co read these boards. This is their first real test as new owners and it’s a massive one.

Hard to argue against given our relatively comfortable league position but his intransigence (and that’s being kind) to flog a dead horse is extremely worrying. According to Keith, the players are disillusioned by the training methods and I can understand that. If those grumbles have got back to the board then that’s probably one of the reasons why they have little confidence in him even before this current saga.

There was a big outcry at that happening iirc. It would have been toxic probably but in hindsight it was a fine gesture to a true football legend. You don’t see that though at the time.

Williams out Williams in and to west brom. on 10:49 - Jan 3 with 682 views | GVJack | He's still odds on with the bookies and they rarely get it wrong. I think this deal will still get done next week. Get the tie between the two clubs out of the way so it's not a distraction first then resolve the managerial transfer. Baggies potentially sitting tight to see if they can pick him up on a free if sacked. If they made him their top target, 1 poor game/performance is not going to put them off. Especially when he could offer mitigating circumstances such as 'players caught wind he may be moving just before KO'

"No loyalty in football"? It's only been 50 games. Showing loyalty is when you've been there several seasons and not wanting to leave. Offering yourself up to the team 1 place above after less than a season is showing you want out ASAP. The club are about to put multi million pound transfer decisions in his hands. Would you want to make a major investment on the say so of someone who has just shown that he has no long term plans for the club?? He needs to go now and let someone else be involved in the planing for the club
