Women’s Euros 23:01 - Dec 16 with 1813 viewsstowmarketrange

I managed to get a pair of tickets for England’s opening game against France in Zurich for July, and the flights aren’t too bad either. The big expense though is accommodation in the city for my daughter and me.
I’ve had a quick look at alternatives, but the game won’t finish until 11pm so the choices are limited.
Is it always this expensive in Switzerland,or are they just bumping up the prices even more? And does anybody know of any cheaper, more affordable options for a night out?

There’s a fella called Beat who flies on from Switzerland most home games. Sometimes comes in the
Horse but normally see him in the Green after. Could be worth having a chat he might have a tent in his garden 🤷🏻‍♂️

They were all sold out last night according to the website. The stadium in Zurich only holds 24k and St Gallen is only big enough for 18k.

Staying in Zurich for a few days next summer. Can you ask your son if I need Swiss francs or can I use euros? Can’t seem to get a definitive answer, thanks

Booked it yesterday as the draw was live, hoping to catch a couple of other games while I'm out there. I know there is another wave of ticket sales and re-sale stuff in the coming months so will keep an eye on it.

It will be Swiss Francs (CHF). They aren't in Eurozone.

My advice is get a currency card (Revolut or Wise). Can be used on ATMs. Do a transfer GBP - CHF before you arrive.

Thats right , Swiss Francs it is .

You should visit the FIFA museum if you can while you are there .

We have driven there a few times when the boys were moving in and out . Its not bad on Eurotunnel and toll roads

I’ve got the first day at Lords on the 10th so I doubt if I’d make it back in time from the Netherlands game anyway.
I also managed to get two more for the QF in Zurich on the 17th,which would involve England if we finished as runners up in our group.

The advice is to stay on the outskirts of the city and travel in. Trains and trams are really good . Hotels in the city are very expensive all of the time let alone when a tournament is on .
