Noticed it a lot last season, and again this season. The amount of teams who leave a gaping hole down the centre of the pitch is unbelievable at this level. You get a great view from the Pearl St end. Even before he scored - that pass from Sassi was on countless times. Just hope we can exploit it more going forward.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Even more so when a team has done their homework and is setup to limit our effectiveness down the wings. Things become more stretched in the middle and that's when we see the opportunities there. Executing that run and pass gives teams another thing to think about.
We are becoming "total options" Dale.

Also, having watched the replay 4 or 5 times, the ball appears to slow down and Mitchell has to be clever footed to take initial control. Makes it an even better finish.

Agreed - both our WBs were high for that goal and Henry, McBride and Ayinde's movement helped create that space in the middle
